Didn't realise sponsorship deals were confirmed for career mode. Great news! Hopefully it involves real cricket brands since they can use their bats in-game.

No they don't, but think of it this way --- what are the odds that you have Ashes Cricket being mentioned on a day you have a console/gaming platform being launched by the biggest software giant in the world.

Nope. And most game buyers wouldn't be aware of what happened yesterday.
But getting the industry interested is a big hurdle, and plenty of them saw the keynote.

I'll try and check when I get home from work but from memory it was on the mightyape site a few days back as a pre-order with the full description that I screen shoted. It was only up for a few hours before they pulled it probably because it is was a week or or so early. I think the estimated release date was 28th of May.
Thought it was interesting that the description seems a little vague about whether or not the WC is licenced.
