Cricket 19 General Discussion

If the game is Xbox One X enhanced, I am hopeful that the community creations will be upscaled somehow, not to look all pixelated in the entire 4K glory.

Just saw the gameplay of Cricket 19. I felt the running between the wickets should've been taken into account as well. I mean there was a clip where Jos Buttler actually smashed one of the deliveries into the stands and he literally started to run hard as if there was a tight single on the offer which isn't a realistic scenario. The batsman knows that the ball is going to go over there fence once he has hit it well so definitely he isn't going to run that hard. And next ball when there was a risky run being taken they didn't seem to have any intent. It was like not for one moment they feared the chance of run-out. Again an unrealistic situation in my view

All human input?

Wow some people so Negative about this and that in the 5x5 over demo and few clips we have , christ it ain’t easy to make a cricket game perfect.
Imagine trying to get running between the wicket perfect on slope with big heads right .
People want instant karma.
Ordered mine from Shopto.

Hi guys.

Just seen the IGN video, and i'm very disappointed in what I've seen so far...

I thought they said they improve the fielding, but to me it just looks the same as before, which is a big shame. To not have the fielding sorted out at their fourth attempt is really disappointing. (five if you include the piss poor big bash boom).

The sound of the ball hitting the bat sounds like a tennis ball coming off the racket. It sounded great in Ashes cricket, don't know why changed it.

The lighting in that night match looks terrible, everything is too shiny.

The players faces look terrible, i've seen better faces produced by people in the academy.

Seems they still haven't sorted out the ball coming off the bat in the wrong direction. I.e the cut shot.

What is the point of having licensed stadiums, if you won't include the sloping pitch at Lords. Not having the slop is a big letdown for immersion and strategy when bowling.

It's such a shame as I was really looking forward to this years game. I know it's an early build (apparently) but unfortunately I will not be buying it straight away, if at all. been let down by big Ant Studios too many times now.....

To me this sounds like a quick cash grab from Big Ant Studios. which is such a shame. But no surprise!!!

I beg to differ. I thought it looked absolutely fantastic. I like the sound improvements too. Night matches look so much better than the previous games. Not sure if you watched the same gameplay.

FYI It is cheaper here than on shopto.

IGN gameplay unfortunately didn't show much fielding side of things as they just kept hitting boundaries. again it doesnt look like fielders will actually throw at the stumps in this game just like previous game, they throw it back to the bowler/keeper wasting precious time to get a runout opportunity. has fielding even been improved I wonder?

Yea that catch at around 3.00 looks awkward would prefer fielder back peddling then make catch also the one handed catch would like to see fielder go on his knees and make catch with 2 hands, And why does the grass look so pristine.

If anything the time until the game has flown by for me, I've not been focusing on release date and seeing the great job people are doing in the academy has raised a smile.

Also the fact that this was a player vs player match on the easiest difficulty while BigAnt has mentioned how they have worked extensively on the AI which is what we all wanted as most of us play vs the ai.

Animations have been improved, fielding looks much tighter than previous games, bowling actions look so much better, replays are really good now, graphics look amazing!

If the AI is really much improved then this will be the perfect cricket game that we all wanted.

A lot of small things have been added that make the experience much much better, like being able to choose the next batsman after a wicket falls.

My only issue with them having sorted out all the animations is that now that running between the wicket animation looks out of place :p

I have noticed that in these gameplay videos, a lot of leg spinners seem to be off spinners. I wonder if that’s just a visual bug or something more.
