Personally, I wanted/and said from the get-go to do patches 2 to 4 weeks. Minimize risk of breaking things. I understand them going to two weeks, they want to get the game right before eventually moving on to the next project (afl game) which will be sooner rather than later. A small studio can't stay on the one project for a lengthy period of time, just as long as its in a good state when they do move on, I'll be happy. No clue. When I had asked sometime back regarding taking more time so that they can ensure the quality of patches, it was told that people wanted daily updates.
And then they moved to weekly patches. The previous patch before this was good and it was broken with the last week patch. Now when we are hoping for a patch to fix, it's been told that there is no patch. Baffling.
But I still would prefer hotfixes for basic stuff like training etc., Why be so hell bent on we will only give a patch as per schedule irrespective even if we have a fix for it as @smurfygray86 mentioned earlierPersonally, I wanted/and said from the get-go to do patches 2 to 4 weeks. Because even with hotfixes they've done in the past, the first few weeks after launch were hotfixes, they still broke parts of the game (hell the first hotfix permanently nixed the day zero physics which were far superior to what we have today.) I'm not looking for a to-and-fro, just stated my thoughts and I'll leave it at that. But I still would prefer hotfixes for basic stuff like training etc., Why be so hell bent on we will only give a patch as per schedule irrespective even if we have a fix for it as @smurfygray86 mentioned earlier
BA team.Who actually asks for Daily Challenges?….
What do we know then?BA team.
I get the feeling that they are are working as per their pre-planned schedule. What is working, what is broken is not relevant to them.
We have purchased the game, the regular patches are their support to the game and customers. Addressing the bugs in the games doesn't count as support to the game. What is to be included in the patches BA knows. How the patches will work on the game, only God knows. Inbetween these we need to be feel satisfied about the game.
Exactly my point, if they want to take a step back its understandable after 3 months, but problem here is the state the game was on its release and the usual BA way of fix one & another falls scenario..To be fair.. the gameplay fixes will come with the challenges so it’s fairly irrelevant.
However I do think there’s plenty other key additions that could come before challenges.
Ability to select my own weather being one…
To not have such an option, in a bloody cricket game where weather plays a massive part, is a bizarre omission.Ability to select my own weather being one…
