Cricket 22 General Discussion thread (Use bug report thread for issues/bugs/crashes | Patch notes in first post)

Ahh yes, you’ve got the ‘Friday night was a heavy one’ mode on. This is as real as it gets, I’ve spent many a Saturday hungover, playing the complete wrong line. Nice to see they’ve added it in game
We used to play 8 ball overs in midweek cricket to save on time changing ends, but this is ridiculous :lol

Wrong.. you can definitely make the spinners weaker. I just bowled 40 overs with them and they took 2 wickets combined on a dusty pitch while Pakistan scored 420
Any slider settings you changed?

It's not hard to decrease the base and top bowling speed by 15k for level 1 and 10k for level 2 bowling speed proficiency isn't ? will add ton to the realism.

Career mode AI players development is another thing to bring some realism.

I think world view tab isn't going to make a cut in this version.

If they can fix the spin issue and edge issue we will have best cricket game ever.@MattW
Please say more words than "the spin issue" or "the edge issue".

There's so much stuff that those could cover, the more specific the feedback the more possible it is to make improvements.

I'm at the point now where people who generalize "issues" are complaining about parts of the game that comes down to personal preference.

My tip for spinners if they're too hard is to turn down spin flight and revolutions in the physics section.

If We have World Ranking System (Teams and Players in career) this make more addiction for cricket 22

Fielders issue need to quick response

Now after latest patch on One day Have noticed sometimes AI Batsman leave crease and gets run out even when there is no run

I can't say I've had issues with edges but for me, "the spin issue" is the AI's general proficiency at playing spin.

I would say it is something that has been encountered by multiple users with a variety of settings and set ups, based on my own experiences plus posts and descriptions on here.

Basically, the AI struggles to bat against user spinners. This usually stems from close catches on the leg side. I've experienced it most with a right handed off spinner to right handers, so the ball is mostly spinning towards leg.

The AI, with a fair degree of frequency, will play leg side shots with the spin that then bounce off their own pads, looping up easy catches to close fielders. This seems to increase in more spin friendly conditions. It's not uncommon to see a spinner take a wicket for 2 or 3 runs at a time.

There's also the "into the boot" defensive shot, where the AI batter does the forward prod, but instead of the ball going into the ground, it's hit the top of the boot and loops up for a catch.

This seems something that should be freakishly rare, but I've seen it more than a few times and I know other users have to.

I'm typing on my phone so it's hard to give a ton of detail on this one, but happy to offer more help and some gameplay examples if they'd be of use.

As @GuyIncognito suggests, the best counter to it at the moment is to really turn the physics sliders down to nullify spin in general, or remove all close catchers to stem the tumble of wickets. Neither is a terribly realistic solution tho.

Ross narcissism is reflect even in the career mode , This mode is all about one player you control improve that's it , the world of cricket in which your career player plays can go to hell and is far inferior to the user controlled player.
