Cricket 22 General Discussion thread (Use bug report thread for issues/bugs/crashes | Patch notes in first post)

Ever since the original DBC14 controls the power triggers have been analogue - so more pressure is more defensive or more attacking. The 'Precision' shot has a trajectory element, so the fine control that partially pressing triggers can give you is something not able to be replicated if that was disabled.
I feel like an idiot, never knew that. I've been playing the games quite wrong. For me its been either defence, precision with hard analogue stick movements or:

So that you can press LT +RT plus precision bumper to play powerful precision shots? Or you can press RT + precision to play lofted inside out shots?

Never knew that before, will try today

Can u post an image of how it looks in-game ? Like is screen divided into two parts for batting and bowling or something else ?
The screen is not divided into two parts, it looks exactly like you pay the single player game and you can play in any camera angle.

@MattW could you please add option to choose from dynamic and fixed lineups in career mode ?
I am asking this since release of game. Can you please atleast tell if you will consider this or not.

I am on the steam version 1998, and I can't play ANY (not just in career mode) match with shadow turned off. as soon as I try launching a match, it crashes. Seems like a pretty big bug @MattW
We're aware of that one, there'll be an update for this on the way.

It's a common request but won't be possible for this game.

Why ? Community created players are of no use in career mode because of future players coming in. And the in game players look similar to each other. It takes away the fun of career mode.
If u can do something regarding this it will be helpful.

@MattW a fixed line up doesn't add realism to the game to be honest. Irrespective of the performance, if the career player gets selected, it's just boredom for a few. Performance of the career player should rewarded or punished. I see making the career player as captain is reward to his performance same way if the player is not performing, he should be dropped occasionally with coach mentioning the same. BA may consider this for the future patches.

Is AI players development and regression and 120k pacers in club cricket in career mode part of the plan? And a world view tab in coming weeks or month?

I have played some club cricket and anyone who was bowling 125k consistently while topping 130k was considered Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar of his team because rest of the bowlers were around 110-115k with many few manages 120k tops

Wow someone change my title to little Timmy even though I am requesting the hardcore feature as oppose to fancy cosmetics but hhhh nice one to whoever did that

@MattW I'm really enjoying the game on my Xbox One. Fps issue is also sorted now and all the shots are working great for me except the sweep shot(It usually is played in slow motion) by the time shot animation completes the ball is already past me. Will that be fine by next patch? Thanks for updating us here. Appreciated

I’ve been playing Tests with run rate at 20. This has avoided the last ball smash and AI have generally scored at 2.9-3.0 per over. Following yesterday’s patch (Appreciate it’s one innings/variables) but they were about 89 all out in 63ish overs. Only usual case of my leg-spinner going for a few beefed up that run rate. But yes, there’s the odd leave but it’s normally a case of hitting the ball or missing as opposed to a deliberate leave. When they do leave, it’s quite exaggerated.
I playing with run rate of 18. I'm getting real life results too. No last ball boundaries either.

An option to create a random team with players with a click of a button will be nice for the lovers of fantasy league cricket and simulation lovers.

@MattW previously we could change teams in career mode before start of the match. Now we cna only edit kit there. Could you please let us know the option edit team will be back? Would like to change line ups after seeing the pitch type which we cannot do at the moment.

@MattW any possible update or patch for inclusion of Overseas restrictions for lineup and squad selection for T20 leagues and County cricket?

I appreciate the response, for all those who told me that user should be punished for playing late I completely agree, I too want penalties in batting but HOW is what I asked.

Even though sliding while playing shots is hugely improved from Cricket 19, it still exists on some shots (like back foot mid on shots, mid wicket shots) and mainly its almost always there in defensive shots, so irrespective of the quality of footwork we place, the batsman just slides & gets behind the ball on most occasions which makes this defensive shot immortal to any last second rattling edges, which we will definitely see if this sliding is eliminated.

I feel with this simple addition, we may make batting even more harder for all those who are saying batting is easy, it will definitely challenge their shot selection(even on defense) and Footwork precision.
