Cricket Heroes - testing & feedback

@Kurt: I tried the Release 6. It was crashing initially but now it seems to be working fine. Cone controls are a bit difficult, but I think I'll get used to them after playing for half an hour or so.

This happened when I simmed 10 overs and was back to playing the match for rest 10 overs

@Coolboy12: Yes, the current graphics are 2D - I'm waiting for the models to be animated before I put them into the game.

@Yudi: Glad it's finally working :)

@rahulkhush: Do you get the same error for longer games?

What an easy bowling innings. Swan took 6/0 :p

9 LBW decisions all given not out and reviewed successfully and one caught behind for Hauritz for the last wicket.

Well I've noticed a fault in the Cone system. You can't defend. So I'll be using standard for now.

@hedger: Thanks for the feedback - those images are blocked in my office though. Did Swann get his wickets lbw? I'm making some changes that will hopefully have the AI play the ball better (read: earlier).

Also, that's a good spot regarding the cone method. What if I made it so that a defensive shot with the cone is played by just pressing S without holding in A/B/C/D?

----------

@rahulkhush: I found the bug - thanks for the report. It'll be fixed in the next update.

Swan got all of his wickets LBW.

For the defensive shot, maybe just add another button for defensive shots as at the moment, it doesn't even allow you to move around the cone while you aren't holding onto a button.

@hedger: Hmmm, I'm a bit weary of adding more buttons - the cone method would work perfectly on a dual analogue game pad...

I'm still not able to play domestic cricket. Like before, whenever the first ball of the match is about to be bowled I get a message "cricket.exe has stopped working, windows is checking for a solution". I need to install update 10 and release 6, right?

@Aditya: It should work with just release 6 - I'll test it now to confirm though.

EDIT: Yup, I tested it now with release 6 and it works fine. Maybe install it into a new folder?

So I was telling you to adopt the following control scheme:
For the cone I suggest-
A-Left
D-Right
We can use A and D while doing the following:
W-to make the cone go behind the wickets
S-to bring it again in front of wickets

Left arrow-Defensive shot
Right arrow-Lofted/Slog shot
Down arrow-Grounded/Defensive shots

Ctrl-Front foot
Shift-Back foot

Cleared up the folder and downloaded release 6 but it still doesn't work. I bowled the first bowl of Big Bash with Stuart Clark batsmen played it to a fielder and the game stopped and the message came. Just to let you know I use, windows 7.
