New South Wales has won the toss and elected to bat first

----------

I really hate the bowler running back to the mark thing, I keep running myself out trying to skip it when I press 'I' a touch early :facepalm

No, they do but I always get annoyed and press the run button just a little too early and get run out.

Batting's still too easy. 31/1 after 7 overs, and the wicket was that stupid run out.

To be honest, I just think you need to redo power. The ball races away to the boundary every ball if a fielder doesnt get in the way. So I think you need to make timing more important, so only really well timed balls get to the boundary.

I did lose a wicket but I pressed the wrong button, trying to guide the ball down to third man but I pressed the lofted button on accident and it went down his throat.

----------

Oh oh, I've quickly fallen to 71/4 after getting 2 edges to slip. But you still need to make it not so easy to score boundaries.

----------

And you need to probably make it easier to get bat on ball when defending. I miss the ball most of the time when I defend.

----------

Hmm, I'm good at getting myself out though :p

81/5. I'll probably still score 200+.

----------

I really hate the 'X' straight drive thing. I always press 's' so I better change that.

----------

Im restarting this after I get myself run out in that ████ way again.

As always, very informative feedback. Things that I need to change then:

1. when the bowler has the ball and is running back, don't let the batsman run - instead let it skip the bowler running back

2. make timing more harsh (I had it like this previously, but it made it tough to score)

3. adjust defensive shots

Does that look right?

Sorry for not testing the game properly from the last few updates. I'll start KFC big bash and let you know my views. :)

Well it looked like I'd be going into the innings break at about 110/3 but a double wicket maiden changed all that as we went into the break at 104/5.

Batting:

Warner lbw Swan 25 (27) - 4 4s
Hughes c. Hartley b. Rimmington 30 (40) - 5 4s
Jaques b. Rimmington 3 (7)
Khawaja lbw Swan 12 (13)
Maddinson 23* (28)
Nevill b Swan 0 (2)
O'Keefe 2* (3)

Bowling:

Swan 3/24 (6)
Cutting 0/29 (4)
Rimmington 2/26 (5)
Hopes 0/22 (5)

----------

Well I think you need to make it easier to hit the ball slightly as I miss a few straight balls as shown by the number of LBWS and bowled's there although the LBWS weren't out, one was missing off by a mile and one was pitching outside leg. But when you hit the ball, if you time it fairly well it races away to the boundary as shown by 14 boundaries in 20 overs and I'm not actually trying to score that many boundaries to make it realistic.

@hedger: I'll see what I can do; good feedback. With the lbw's, were you playing across the line or were you trying to straight drive?

@Aditya: Challenges are broken at the moment - I'm going to re-import the data from cricinfo soon.

Hmm, I think you need to fix the spinners again. They were 36/0 after 8 overs, I bring on Hauritz and he takes 2 wickets, both balled in his first over. Although it may just be skill and maybe a fluke :p

----------

Mostly playing across the line although I do miss a lot of straight drives. Though across the line is mainly on drives which I can normally pick off. I don't normally try and play with the leg side keys for square and behind square as I normally miss the ball.

@hedger: Hmm, interesting...so the game is penalising you to heavily for playing across the line? The wickets you got with Hauritz, were they bowled wide of offstump and turning back? Or were they on the stumps?

fearsome tweak. The game just crashed as I got another wicket with Hauritz, or I think it was anyway.

And on the stumps, not really much turn.

@hedger: Crud - OK, I'll see if I can track down that bug. I've tweaked batting a bit now according your to feedback so hopefully that'll fix things...in testing now.
