@kurtkz , there is a issue with updates if full game is downloaded from website. It says something like game version is too old to update. Then it proceeds to download same file again. So far manual update is a workaround for now.
Manually updating game even once solves this issue for now.
Also it would be good if player database is updated. Especially which teams they play for.

@jeetu I'll check the full version again. I think the website might be linking to an old version :(

I don't have time to update all the players teams but in happy to include an updated if someone else wants to do it.

@kurtkz , is there a way to make a utility which allows users to make customized commentary file. What i mean is change of color schemes during sixes , fours, Out , End of over etc.

You can edit that in the commentary.bdb file. Check right at the bottom. There's a block that describes how that commentary is formatted.

I am looking at something different. For example the file which edits the parameters to "PakPassion's" commentary file.

The generated line by sim is
End of over 20 (2 runs) Loose Cannons CC 122 / 4 (RR: 6.10, RRR: 0.57)

I was looking for a way where editing commentary parameters which could give output, say
End of over 20 (2 runs) Loose Cannons CC 122 / 4 (RR: 6.10, RRR: 0.57)

Edit - Looks like this site is hampering above line

Also if it gives me ability to add say - :SIX after sixer is hit or :Out after wicket goes down.

Also regarding commentary. If a match is played on Turning track with no/less support for seam/swing.
This line is outputed - "The pitch was a bowler's graveyard and did not offer much assistance in the way of swing or seam. "
It would look better if it says sometime like this. The pitch was spinner's paradise but did not offer much assistance in the way of swing or seam.

When I try to bowl an inswing with the new ball it result in huge reverse swing , I only increase the reverse amount in the special.cfg rest is set to 1 , but still the ball reverses from the 1st over , (my bowler have neglible inswing skill) also when the ball gets old , it doesnt reverses at all, it used to in previous patches.
Spin bowler are a nightmare for an AI , they mostly get out lobbing to fielders.

Fast bowlers really struggles when the ball new ball effect gone (50s pitch), they cant pick up wkt of a settled batsmen and an un settled batsmen cant play spin bowling as they lobbed in the air , i think you should enable the ball to seam/swing once in an over for a skilled bowler when the new ball is gone as this also happens in real life as you can see odd moving ball here and there in the mid overs as this way fast bowlers will have a chance to take more wkts in the middle overs. If you just gonna increase the chance of edge , lbws it will not feel realistic as compare to the ball actually doing something resulting in a wicket.

Same bowler bowls in super overs for both innings (noticed that twice today)

@Allrounder18: When the shine is gone the ball rarely does anything (in real life as well - see the recent England vs Australia ODI matches). If you land it on the seam you'll still get seam movement. Otherwise you just need to mix up your deliveries. Slow bouncers, quick bouncers, yorkers, tie down the batsmen, etc. It all comes down to strategy. (I'm fixing the lobbing issue though)

Yea you are right in real life when the shine gone the odd ball still moves when it lands on the seam , is it already happened in the game? If yes I think you should increase the amount of the movement in order to make it apparent and more effective.

In order to land it on seam do we have to position the seam upright or shall we present it in the form of cutters? If its upright then it which direction it gonna move?

@Allrounder18: It is there, but you must remember the seam also gets soft after a while (just like in real life). You just won't see massive seam movement in real life with an old ball. It really depends on the pitch, the type of ball, the condition of the seam, the pace you're bowling at and the bowler's skill.

You can still take wickets, you just need to be clever about it.

Yes I can still take wkts if I bowl with a plan but my Ai team mates find it tough to run through the side if we pickup 2/3 wkts with the new ball.

Then it's quite possible that they're not skilled enough yet :) (I'm not going to make them start off more skilled either as that will throw the balance off again)
