Still could be a chance I'm right he did captian his team internationally and in under 50 ODI since he didn't play any.

The answer is: Pubudu Dassanayake.

Wicket-keeper who played 11 Tests and 16 ODIs for Sri Lanka in the mid 90s. Later played for Canada in 2005 and 2006, captaining them on two occasions. Note that I never said he captained Sri Lanka! He now coaches Canada.
