Tenth is obviously easier than ninth, but undoubtedly more important than ninth.
As far as Prats' schedule is concerned, we shouldn't really talk about it much. It's his life, let him live it the way he wishes to live it. The 6 hours of daily classes to Mahesh Tutorials isn't a surprise. In Mumbai, such things are extremely common, tried and tested and have produced good results.
Trust me, the summer vacations is the best period to complete the majority of the portion. If you do that, tenth will be a cake-walk for you, but if you think that you can take the vacations lightly and cover up the portion once the school begins, you are in deep trouble.
When I was in my tenth, I covered up most of my portion in the vacations, and similar to Prats had my classes, not as long as 6 hours, but 3-3.5 hours each evening. When the school begun, the classes were scheduled just for Saturdays, Sundays and the bank holidays, if there were any. The schedule was never a burden for me as I enjoyed being in my class and often wished that we had some more lectures. Secondly, once the school begins and you feel that more than 50-60% of your portion is over, it gives you ample of confidence when you converse and discuss about the topics with your friends.
I took my 10th seriously during the vacations and that certainly did produce an extremely good result for me.
