Cricket Leagues - Announcements

All league owners listen, I'll not be available from 12th April. I don't know when I'll come back but it'll be a long time so all league owners are requested to take the required action. And also I'm resigning of from World Club League, p23456789, take notice of that.

Till then, good bye to all.

Need a new manager for Chelmsford Dragons in the EPL. State your interest in the EPL thread and I will select who gets the team.

Just read Harris's post. England could use a temporary manager in my league. Post your interest there.

I think the time has come for me to pull off myself from some leagues as my life is getting hectice day-by-day. I'm currently in 10th standard and so it is very tough for me to be available on PC many hours. 6 hours school, 6-7 hours classes/tutions and 3-4 hours homework is a lot to me so I'll now have to leave some leagues.

DLF IPL 2011 - Binnu
TSS - AkshayC
Brit Insurance Premier League™ - 20/20 PRO
Major Cricket League - Harris

These are the leagues which I'll leave from today. It was a hard decision but you all know how important 10th standard is. Instead of bearing my late post of lineup, less activity in thread, it is convenient to pull from it. Sorry for inconvenience caused to the owners.

Hope you all understand.

No probs dude, good luck with your studies, although you'll feel "is it this, huh, I though I needed to climb a mountain" after finishing your 10th :p.
BTW, the two years after 10th is the real mountain, not this ;).

C'mon 11th is easy. You guys overrate the studies in high school and terrorize the juniors. (or they get terrorized themselves whatever.)

I've successfully finished first season of Asian Premier League. If any one is interested in owning a new team for next season, he should VM me ASAP. (Except current managers)

Tenth is obviously easier than ninth, but undoubtedly more important than ninth.

As far as Prats' schedule is concerned, we shouldn't really talk about it much. It's his life, let him live it the way he wishes to live it. The 6 hours of daily classes to Mahesh Tutorials isn't a surprise. In Mumbai, such things are extremely common, tried and tested and have produced good results.

Trust me, the summer vacations is the best period to complete the majority of the portion. If you do that, tenth will be a cake-walk for you, but if you think that you can take the vacations lightly and cover up the portion once the school begins, you are in deep trouble.

When I was in my tenth, I covered up most of my portion in the vacations, and similar to Prats had my classes, not as long as 6 hours, but 3-3.5 hours each evening. When the school begun, the classes were scheduled just for Saturdays, Sundays and the bank holidays, if there were any. The schedule was never a burden for me as I enjoyed being in my class and often wished that we had some more lectures. Secondly, once the school begins and you feel that more than 50-60% of your portion is over, it gives you ample of confidence when you converse and discuss about the topics with your friends.

I took my 10th seriously during the vacations and that certainly did produce an extremely good result for me.

I took my 10th grade in a very un-serious way. It paid off. :p
