Cricket Leagues - Announcements

I know it's off-topic, so I don't mind if a staff member deletes this post, but feel free to sign-up for my racing competition. It'll cost you a little bit of vCash, but if you do well then you'll be able to sit back, do nothing, and earn moolah. Simples.

Thing is, nobody would sign up if I just left it to fester in that backwater part of the forum.

Hi All,

I am keen to play these league but have little idea how they work.

Would be great if someone could explain. I would be delighted to sign up and play. Thx.

You basically sign up in a league that interests you as a team manager or a player. But first make sure if they're still looking for sign ups or are already full. You can usually tell by their prefixes and thread titles.

Leagues based only on real life players such as the CWG, various nation-based premier leagues are the ones where you sign up as a team manager. You just have to pick players via drafts/auctions, post lineups and comment on your team's performance.

There are other leagues made for living our fantasies of playing top level cricket where you can sign up as a player, such as this. You need to post actively to maintain a good batting/bowling rating, support your team, throw around a bit of friendly banter at opposition players if they get under your skin. If you're selected to captain your team, then you need to take up the additional role of picking players if they're not already put together by the league manager, posting lineups etc.

I think this explains the basic things about taking part in a cricket league, but there's a lot more about that and other stuff on this post.

Cheers and have a nice time here. :thumbs

A collaborated league between me and @Mr Nokkaya coming soon, after my LSL. It's something never, ever tried before in PC.net. And, it is "Women's Hexagonal Championship" between the top 6 Women Cricketing Nations. Stay tuned, more breathtaking surprises to come. :)
Btw, Tarak (MR Nokkaya) deserves all the compliment for the Idea regarding this sort of league. :thumbs

I'm going to complete my time at the league section by starting a six team league.
Indian.
If anyone is interested into managing my old leagues just pop me up a pm.

Hey everyone, I'm running a small, little & quick league (with a whole lot fun) i.e. Karp Group Hong Kong Cricket Sixes. So I need manager for Sri Lanka. Seriously, It is going to be a whole lot fun with 5-Over a-side competition and is going to be as quick as that quick brown fox which jumped over the lazy dog.

One manager needed for Canada Cricket Championship

Just a little one - I really do passionately and faithfully hate the rich text editor and all the evils it purveys.

Oh, and in other news, there are ten teams available in the KFC SANZAC Championship. It's the successor league to the Nagico Americas Championship and Allianz European Championship. There are ten teams to choose from, varying from the very strong (Australia, South Africa) to the exceedingly feeble (Tanzania, Vanuatu).
