Cricket on Free To Air TV?

but in pakistan cable is kinda cheap and it has like lots of sports channel like super sports star cricket geo super ten sports + ptv that mostly shows the matches if pakistan is playing.
so champions trophy is coming on tht.
since i am in uk these days watching thru sky sports + geo tv also showing it.
i dont have geo but it was on for 15 mins for a free view and saw it.

Oh fark! I was bloody looking forward to the damn thing! Why cant bloody Channel 9 broadcast it, they`re the only decent cricket-watching channel anyway. Oh wells.Damn you to hell, FoxSports.

Yeah they obviously didn't feel that the Champions Trophy is as important as the World Twenty20 or World Cup for it to have FTA coverage. Let's hope that with the FTA networks branching out and having extra channels that one of them might pick up this and other tours. *HINT* *HINT* One HD GO!

Just glad I bought an HD set top box cuz here in Northern NSW One HD is only available in High Definition.

Fox Sports is good. The panel of Julian, Mark Waugh, Border, Stuey Clark etc. is pretty good and their coverage is always good. Nothing to complain from me.

With any luck SBS will want the Ashes again for 2013. It's been a ratings winner for them in both 2005 and 2009

The T20 Champions League is on ONE in Australia, i think. Will watch it due to Victoria playing in the comp despite my hatred for anything T20-related. :spy

Sure I hate Twenty20, but I am going to watch NSW's games, having

a) Never seen NSW in a Twenty20
b) Having a chance to see our players running around.

On the other discussions, I wish we could get overseas cricket on free-to-air. If One or Nine took overseas broadcasts, and ABC the Domestic Cricket, I would be stoking so much. I wouldn't watch all the overseas international cricket, but would always have the Tests on in my room, if there wasn't an Aussie Domestic game on.

Yeah I'll be watching the Vics and Blues, see how we go on the international stage. Pity there are so many injuries, Graeme Smith etc, it'd be good for someone like Jon Hollan or Burt Cockley to bowl to Smith....

No, infact the opposite is happening.

Due to the vast cuts that are being implemented to bring the debt down the government are to allow the ECB to continue selling the rights to The Ashes to Sky.

The government is being well clever, soon with unemployment rising there won't be any money to pay the increases and they'll end up paying out the supposed income in JSA and other benefit payments.

Truly clever move, a year after the end of the reduction of VAT to 15%, the new government decide to put it up to 20% :doh Should have targeted the rich bast'ds, oh but that means they'd be hitting themselves in the pockets and we wouldn't want that now would we.......................... :sarcasm

How dare they put up VAT its not like we have the highest debt in Europe...

How about debt to the people, can see this sending the country over the edge on the premise increasing VAT will raise the money when it will simply make the gap between the rich and poor bigger. They'll spend most of it on unemployment benefit and their own sorry Rs pay increases

Pakistan has the the matches free to air on its national television. The commentary is in the native urdu language. Usually there are multiple channels showing the same game with different commentators.

Yeah but there's about 50 billion ads all over the screen and commercials even in between balls.

That's why I usually watch on Supersport where the feed is coming from South Africa. No nonsense like that over there.
