Haha. Of course most students of the game would know about this incident, but seeing the footage its stunning how bad the behavior was - especially Croft. In modern times that a couple months ban if not more.

Have you ever seen the similar incident like this, in the Chennai Tied test 1987 during the last between certain AUS & IND players?.

Does anyone have Krejza's ball that took Hashim Amla's wicket from a few years ago?

Rob, do you have any video of Gavaskar bowling? I've heard that at the end of his career, last 2 years of his career, when a test match was almost certain to be a draw then Gavaskar used to bowl a few overs and mimic the bowling actions of the top bowlers of that time. Do you have any such video?

Not that i'm aware of, you;d have to give me exact matches, but I doubt I have them.

On the 1978 tour of Pakistan, Gavaskar took the wicket of Zaheer Abbas when he was on 96 in the secone innings of the first test match at Faisalabad. Do you have highlights of this match? Was reading about this few days ago in one of the books that Gavaskar wrote "Idols". :)

Yeah, 1978 is a long time back. :lol Anyways, I must thank you for the videos you have uploaded on youtube. I'm a big fan of Vivian Richards and watching some of his best innings is really fantastic. Thanks a lot mate. :)

Best memory of this series for Lara was that he was batting so well, but somehow failed to score a hundred.

Not saying AUS would have won the series, given that the batsmen where still crap @ playing spin in 1998. But ive always regretted McGrath, Fleming, Gillespie not being in this series to support Warne after this 1st innings performance. No way would the IND batsmen have made all those 400+ scores thats for sure.

YouTube - Chris Cairns 6/77 vs England 1999 2nd test Lord's

Cairns during this period from 1998-2001 really produced some stellar all-round performances, when he managed to state fit for that extended period. But people tend to forget that.

The New Zealand injury curse to its players in recent years was a real shame though. Since i've always been of the view that if players like Cairns, Allot, Bond, Doull, Oram, O'Connor, Nash could have stayed fit between 1998-2007 consistently. That Fleming lead era would have been Australia biggest challenge during those glory years in tests.

Damn, check out the classic reverse-swing bowling by Wasim & Waqar in their peaks during that first test in AUS 2nd innings. Rob do you know what ever happened to that show cover point?

Cover Point was a video magazine, produced from 1993 to 2001/02. Had to end at some stage, it used to be cool as the footage you couldnt get anywhere, but with pay tv really stepping up around the world most fans could get access to most matches so cover point ran out of steam.
