fardin it better not be a typo..else shahid may actually shoot you :D

which match is it

Shahid got it right it is singapor cricket ground jaysuria hit the most amount of sixes in that match :happy

I remember that Sanath Jayasuriya innings. 11 sixes 11 fours at one stage. I don't know what happened in the end, though.

ok...i thought Namibia played at least once at home in WC2003... :(

fardin can serve the thread better by making such guesses while answering the questions and not while asking them...

so Zorax ur question:

its possible for no.5 to get out and for no.6 to get the strike the very next ball...if no.5 skies the ball and they cross before the catch is taken...then no.7 goes to the non-striker's end...no.6 has to get out the next ball...and no. 8 the one after it...but that makes it three balls...i don't think - either timed out, handling the ball, obstructing the field and even the run out for backing up too far at Non-striker's end (Kapil Dev - Peter Kirsten type) can be considered to be valid wickets to be included in the hattrick...as of now, there's no rule that allows the bowler to take three wickets in two balls and have it all in his own kitty...

ummm... any thoughts about my solution above???
I agree that three batsmen cannot be out on only two deliveries, unless there is a noball or wide in between.
If it is not a legal ball the only way a bowler can be credited with the wicket as far as I remember is a hitwicket off a no-ball or stumped off a wide. All others that you mentioned in the post cannot be credited to the bowler, so it will not be a hat-trick.
Whats the answer Zorax? And hopefully your question was more appropriate than Fardin's....

By the way looking at Sachin's post, I would like to correct my solution further. It doesnt matter whether the #6 batsman is facing first... it can be the #5 batsman, then cross on the first skied ball, #6 gets out on the wide/stump, and then #8 gets out any way on the second legal (but total third) ball.

hey i didnt see ur reply ...blame it on Fardin ... :)

i think u've got it rite there...dumb of me not to think of it...
