Cricket Quiz

I got it from Cricinfo :p :D:D

And I didn't get a question, rather a random player search turned out this interesting chap...

Who cares :p
There are plenty of sites around, and I did say he played for two non-test nations.

Oh, did I mention, He's currently 52. Should give you a clue of the date of his ICC Trophy appearances...

I'm pretty sure there is no player who has played cricket for 2 non-test nations and is qualified for England, and has never played even one ODI.

I say you tell us, and we can see if you're right!

He is qualified as he was born in England. Atleast i think that makes him qualified
But he came under 'Hong-Kong' on Cricinfo. ;)

Ok, I'll give you one more hint.

Clue 3) He shares his name with:
A) A low-carb diet
B) My 'Strike bowler, can bat a bit down the order, real wicket taker'
AND
C) The ever popular "Mister Bean" ;)

Should be a piece of cake now! :) In Nixon's famous words:

Anyone who gets this wrong will recieve -ve rep from me!!!

Cricinfo now open :)

Yup, Steve Atkinson.

He was born in England(hence making him English as I mentioned), has played for Hong Kong, Netherlands, Durham and the Minor Counties, has a first class average of 63 -in one innings that is- and has bowled a 37 run over(). His ICC Trophy Debut was for Netherlands v Papua New Guinea on Jun 11, 1986, and his final ICC Trophy match was for Hong Kong v Netherlands - Feb 25, 1994

He also shares his name with:
A) The Atkinson diet
B)My bowler, Runako Atkinson
C) And 'Mister Bean' Rowan Atkinson

Hmmmm, a dodgy one me thinks.

Anyway, I'm going to ask a real toughie now, if Colin doesn't mind.

Including rest days, how long (in days) was the longest match ever played?

Feel free...
I know the longest test was 9 days but I have no idea about the longest match. I'm going to guess 3 and a half years!!!

Longest test was 10 days+2 rest days.

30 is closer than 3 and a half years though :D
