Update Soon

We were definately better this innings getting to 0/32 only giving one or two chances. We are hoping we can continue on this form for the last two remaining sessions.

Sadly we lost PaulNixon first over next session. It was bad batting. Straight ball and he missed it. You cant miss the straight ones. A bit of a waste.

The other two batsman pushed on pretty quickly getting t othe 50 partnership.

Not long after FeelingBlue? got himself to 50 with a beautiful cut shot having surpassed GrayNicholls score.

GrayNicholls celebrated his wonderful innings after running a quick two to bring up his fifty.

Next over brought up the 100 run partnership. This was the start we needed last innings. We are improving and I think we will have a few rotations next match.

The two batsman batted out the session with a few boundaries.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Iloveireland announced at tea that he would be bringing in a 'rotation' policy where some of the players would get games off so they could really see who is good and he could see who was worth keeping for the next season.

A quarter of the way through the last session of the match we lost FB just after he and GrayNicholls got their 150 run partnership. It was a very controversial decesion and I am not sure it was an edge. PakCricketer was to come in next.

GrayNicholls was very edgy when he got to 99 after a few boundaries. It took a good word from PakCricketer too calm him down to keep him going. It seemed to the boys that these two had become best friends so Iloveireland tried to bat them together. They knew each other well and enjoyed each others company. Finally GrayNicholls got to 100 with a quick single. He hit it straight to mid on and ran and make it ; just.

Pakcricketer nearly had to go off after being hit in the back by a nasty ball by Plunkett. He then edged the next ball safely and this worried GrayNicholls. It seemed that PakCricketer was more badly injured then he was letting on. it seemed GrayNicholls may have been right with PakCricketer taking a slog at a straight ball and was out Plumb LBW.

Two balls later was another 'debateable' decision with Afridi out for 1. Durham were back in form and although the match was going to be a draw Iloveireland was hoping for all his batsman to get their confidence back.

A couple of overs later we lost Mathers LBW. It was a 50-50 decision. ZoraxDoom was to come in next.

Zorax had an edgy start surviving a LBW decision. He hit back thought almost hitting the bowler for six. Two overs later he was clean bowled.

WELL ALL IN ALL NOT A BAD FIRST GAME. HOPEFULLY WE WILL CONTINUE TO IMPROVE AND DO GOOD IN THE NEXT OD MATCH

Hey ILI, would I be able to join this? I'll take the last spot available thanks.

No surprises about the draw. Good batting though by our guys to get such a big first innings total. Nice work mate :)

I better be in next match!!:D

Nice draw showing that we can make big scores

You will be. Most people who havent played yet will play this match

This will be our first OD game and I have made a lot of changes to this line-up. After this every player except one will have had a game. (we have 3 keepers).

Nothamptonshire are a better team than Durham and they are coming off a great win over Essex where they won by 119 runs. This will be a much more challenging match.

The conditions today are better for batting than bowling.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

IBMB and Pakcricketer started bowling well with the first 5 overs only going for six runs including a maiden from PakCricketer.
Its after that that the Northamptsonshire batsman got things going. They ended up being 0/32 after ten overs.

Iloveireland made a change then by bowling by bringing on Jaztheman and Hopawhitey.

It proved to be a good move because Hopawhitey got a wicket with his second ball. It was a great start to his career and a great start to the match.

At the 20 over mark the score was 1/75 and Iloveireland brought on Domiw and ZoraxDoom. Both bowlers were getting hammered but Iloveireland kept em bowling and got rewarded with Zorax getting the wicket of Crook who was one of the leading run scores the year before. The score was 2/126 with 22 overs left.

Iloveireland was really when Domiw returned the favour as well with a wicket including a great catch from Hopawhitey.

Next over Zorax got his next one. Clean bowled and Iloveireland could see what pressure the Northamptonshire was under. Now Callan and Klusener would have to take on our bowlers.

After thirty overs Northamptonshire was 4/137 and struggling. Iloveireland brought FB to bowl instead of Doniw. Zorax was to continue for a while at the other end.

After Zorax had bowled nine overs Iloveireland made a double change. Pakcricketer and Doniw were to bowl.
Pakcricketer went for 15 runs first over back. Both bowlers bowled out their overs and get smashed. Hopawhitey bowled the last over.

They ended at 4/286. Iloveireland was angry that they got so many runs at the end.
