Question remains the same Ross. When it is releasing. D DATE :)

Answer remains the same it will be released in 2013. Ross can mega troll us all if they release it on last day of 2013 though.

obviously ross knows something too...

opponents definitely cancelled then?

I really don't think big-ant or Ross should be bothered much about Ashes 13, first of all it is not releasing anytime soon or ever (who knows) even if they release a half baked cake it is useless and critics will have a field day. Secondly when DBC was planned(or publicly announced) Ashes was also on full flow so it was made to stand and fight a competitor which is vanished now from the face of the earth without even appearing ever so it is a open market which DBC 14 needs to win.

There is little that is definite. The worry is that if they are on the fence about the release then it can only do us all damage, many here will remember me saying at the start of the year that it needs to be of good quality or it will be a pox on all of our houses, this remains true.

of course they care. what if they somehow released even a half-baked cake next week? you telling me that's not gonna have an impact on big ant?

it might be too late to do much either way, but of course they care. statements to the contradictory are ridiculous. and finding out your competitors weren't going to release - even if you're 100% confident you have the better game - is still good news.

I have seen you do this several times. Its funny that you dont realise the difference between a Date and a Year.

The question clearly asked for a date just like all questions that you replied to. For your understanding 'Date refers to the day of the month and the year and is specified by a number.

Its funny you did not notice zillions of post by ross and other, all repeating the same texts. See above.

Why are people thinking that if Big Ant don't release before or in the very early part of the Ashes that it will be a catastrophe? It's not like people only buy games when big events are on or that Big Ant only have a small window of opportunity. Big Ant are in this for the long haul, not making a quick buck, so I'm sure they won't rush something out for this reason.

Ross has stated that he expects the game to provide at least two years worth of 'play', so we can assume that a new DBC game will be released every two years...giving Big Ant plenty of time to sell enough copies. Granted, any product needs exposure at the right time and the Ashes is the time where maximum exposure is needed, but that doesn't mean it has to be released asap.

With the cricket game market as barren as it is Big Ant have a HUGE opportunity to take over and rule to the roost for many years to come - an opportunity that is far greater than the supposed 'make or break window of opportunity' of the Ashes being touted by many. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

if it wasn't for the football world cup meaning next summer is a write off for england cricket-wise, i'd be terrified that would be the uk release date! i think with the ashes being on it'd be madness to have much of a lag for the uk.

also, i think in this day and age you have to minimise lag if you want to minimise piracy.

England`s next home summer is 5 tests vs India right? End of next year will again be a great time to release a cricket game, possibly a nex-gen game. With the end of 2014 featuring India in Australia followed by a tri-series involving Ind-Eng-Aus and then the World Cup would be a great window to relase a followup to DBC.

What I mean is that DBC was planned with Ashes releasing so initial plan must have this in it so what is the point of worrying about Ashes or anything, secondly if they release DBC earlier than Ashes it will only kill ashes further.

So they should not worry about Ashes and just work on there plan if ashes is not coming then its icing on the cake. :cheers

yes, i think we have west indies away early in the year, then sri lanka at home and india at home. but it will be absolutely swallowed by the football world cup.

limited overs cricket has a tiny profile in the UK - the tri-series and world cup might be big in aus and india, but not here. world cup will be bigger than the tri series, but nothing to a test series.

And its given you the best cover ever!

Nicolas Cage begs to differ...
