I think its the same game bud just in a tin rather than usual box, Ross put up a pic of it a while Bach and it looked sweet as a nut, unfortunately I don't think its available unless you order from eb games in australia, so that's us out!!

What exactly is the time-frame for a purchase to be called a pre-order?

I'd assume the day before release.. although that might depend on stock that is provided to the retail outlets to fulfill their orders. I seem to remember that when I pre-ordered Battlefield 3 (from memory it was about 2 or 3 days before release), and they told me they had ordered something like 10 units and only had 2 pre-orders at that stage. Best bet would be to go and ask them, or pre-order as soon as possible to ensure you don't miss out.

That's neither been confirmed or denied. Ross did say that pre-order bonus was key in combating the game being pirated in certain regions.

On that basis it's certainly odd if it was a pre-order bonus elsewhere and not a just a 'limited edition' version of the game like most steel box versions of games/movies are.

According to Ross, there will be a local release with some online retailer in US and hopefully Canada too

Thanks for this mate i buy pretty much all my stuff from JBHIFI and i couldnt find it anywhere on the website and there is litrely (i know i got that wrong) NOTHING!!! i dunno how in about 7 weeks the game is sopposed to be going from not being available for preorder from shop to being released!!!:
