Don Bradman Cricket 17 General Discussion

Whenever I play a game in a series/competition or tour the playing XI doesn't reflect what I have saved in the team lineup. It applies for any format of the game. Every time I have to manually make the changes, worse is on skipped matches I can't do anything about it. Also when a batsmen/bowler coming in it doesnt show the players stats. Has anyone else faced this issue?

Does it for career too. Lineups aren't even close to what they are in academy, the new dynamic lineups are just highest rated players in the squad playing in all formats.

I am one of the player who has invested maximum time playing DBC14 across all platform (I own it on PS3 & PC). The amount of negativity & disappointment (few justifiable, and most are simply rants) DBC17 received since its release has made me extremely sad. As I want this game & BAS to be very successful & wish they keep making future cricket titles.
Somehow I am getting this feeling, that may be, just may be it would have been better if they have release the game on PC 1st and only after addressing all the issues (which they should have anticipated), they could have released the game on Console. I know the reason for releasing the game first on console is a business decision based on the fact that the game may be Pirated before it get released on console, but considering DBC14 is still unbreakable, it would have worth taking the risk. If I am not wrong, the patches released on PC doesn't cost anything, but every time BAS need to submit a new patch to consoles they have to pay to both Sony & Microsoft. More than the cost factor, I am more worried about the negativity being associated with DBC17 from a considerable group of players who have played the game.

I am looking forward to PC release, and me & my FB Online player community will try our best to give constrictive feedback about the game. Its just that I wish they could have tested the game with this small community of PC players before releasing it officially, but then again, Ross & Team knows best about what they are doing & may be that risk (releasing 1st on PC) was not worth taking.

I am sure BAS & teams are working hard on the known issues & by the time we get the game on PC, everything will be sorted out for good. Just keep some patience guys.

Note: I dont own DBC17 on Console, just giving my opinion on behalf of 150 active Online DBC14 players (Who are part of my WhatsApp Group) who wants to see DBC17 as the most successful cricket game ever.

If you have really followed DBC 14 then one thing you know BA will make this game better Just they Made DBC 14 Best ever . So Please keep Calm

Wasted another perfectly good day spin bowling.:cheers Love the affect the modifiers have. Got the ball looping and turning all over the place.:D Game is worth $60 just for the bowling in this.
That's great but I like batting! Is the batting really as terrible as made out? Just unwrapped game...can't play til tonight! Roll on! Happy Xmas!

Hi i dont know whether anyone raise below observation already or not i.e career player skill improvement in dbc17.

I am sorry to say its really boring atleast after giving great career player skill improvement in dbc14. I dont know what think tank of dbc17 point of view behind dbc17 career player skill improvement, let me give you on practical basis even if my player keep doing low score or 0 even in that what sort of skills my player improving in it or if my bowler conceeding 10rpo even then which of my skill improved as in current whether you play poor or good you get 3k approx sp and you can easily improve your skills.

Let me rephrase dbc14 career player skill system that if you perform good on any departement only in that case you get 1 skill point particular to that domain.

Dont you think its more good skill improvement system than current boring as you play 15 match doing under 10 score and your player easily reach to 50 level.

So far i played club cricket in dbc17 career and till that you player skills depend on number of matches you play instead of your player performance. I hope in later stage skill improved based on your performance e.g you play 4 runs on onside and get 1 point increased on onside domain like in dbc14

I highly appreciate BA for their great work in dbc17 but please you tell which system sound more real or intersting.

1. Dbc17 just play matches irrespective of perfomance and you get sp everytime and you can increase level very very easily

2. Dbc14 you perform to particular domain and then you skill increased in that domain only

Now it looks in dbc17 we lost great features which BA gave us in dbc14 unfortunately. Atleast on cost of tatto creation or female player introduction, if those feature (career player skill improvement and detail stats) remain as it is as it was in dbc14 then it was great great game.

I request please if you think for dbc19 please bring back atleast these great features which were in dbc14. For your kind consideration in any future cricket games @MattW @BigAntStudios

SUGGESTION:
I think in order to make it intelligent, "your SP must depends on your game perfomance so that if you make 100 you get 100% SP and if perform very poor then you get just 15% SP". Believe me this will make career game more interesting.

Big thanks big ant as atleast we have cricket game.
I know things have to move on but it seems bowling is vastly improved. That's enough of a step forward and I feel batting was near perfection on DB14...how hard would it be to just implement the old batting into DB17? This, it would seem, would make the game near perfect!

I went through literally every player in my game and deleted every single duplicate player. There is only one Mitchell Starc and he is linked. But there are still 3 Mitchell Starc's in the Australian team in career mode.

delete starc and download new starc on number 5 in download list.
Number 5 by rating or most downloaded? Has this fixed the duplication for you?
