Don Bradman Cricket 17 Releasing December 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC

So you played it, yet didn't use the Academy to alleviate the 'painful' lack of real world cricketers?

I dl it off steam a while back and there was a mass lack of licensed cricketers. Now I know you can dl player created content, which is fine but it's not what a cricket game should be. It should have the major teams right off the bat, especially a game which released at full price in the UK. This felt more like an expansion or DLC.

Plus the controls didn't work great and at times were unresponsive, especially using a PS3 controller modded for use on the PC, which works fine with every other game out there.

Maybe you guys don't play as many games as I do but as a gaming product this is sub par. Hopefully the sequel improves and bothers licensing more than just Australia.

As a cricketing product, with little competition on the market, I can see why it received the hype but it really doesn't do it for me or other avid gamers.[DOUBLEPOST=1464340824][/DOUBLEPOST]
Oddly enough the announcement of the release of a console cricket video game makes news on a website dedicated to cricket video games. You are literally on the wrong site if that's not what you want to read.

I didn't know this was a website only about cricket video games...

Based on what research apart from your personal taste.....

and pirates the game. not a chance you buy the game and don't download a single team - leaving aside the curiosity aspect, to do so you'd have to consciously refuse the get best prompt. additionally if you played with the on-disc team and found the generic cricketers "painful", why would you not download something from the academy?

i can get people not liking aspects of the game: the atmosphere bit particularly lack of variation was a weakness and the AI was quite a let down, but if you slag the game off when you 100% pirated it, as @cricket_icon unquestionably has, then you can just absolutely STFU.

No option to lock the skills before uploading.... still.

Nope, I dl it from Steam, as I do most of my PC games and I never said I didn't dl any additional players/teams, I'm saying the lack of licenses is a huge fail in the modern sports market, not to mention slow controls and a very drab interface. It is very poor in comparison to a 6 or 7 year sports game like FN4 or even going back to FIFA 10.

I know a lot of the Big Ant studio guys post on here, which is why I was curious about the relationship between this site and the developers.

Hopefully future games can actually provide licensed teams, at least the basic ten and improved controls.

Oh wow the images matt posted in the first page look AMAZING...I didn't think they'd upgrade it much graphically.

I like to say thank you to Big Ant Studios for making us, the new DBC17 game on their new improved game engine. I are really impressed by the graphics of the skins in this DBC17 Academy, they look so much more realistic, with a smooth, soft, wet, shiny/glowy look. When i first saw the skins i kinda thought that they kinda look rubbery but now looking at them with the Academy i don't really think that at all now, all i think now is wow wow wow

you're much more likely to have associate teams licensed first, even if only due to the fact that they cost less than full members

Licensing costs a lot more than I think most people appreciate; and other companies haven't been able to make a profitable cricket series with licences for whatever reason

plzz help @MattW
my game opens and after a couple of seconds crashes to windows
plzz help here is the dxdiag file

Wow, great news. I don't have a good enough PC for Academy but waiting till December is fine by me. I hope the game is a solid improvement over the original.
