Last year at school next year and going to take the major exam aka HSC. I find it weird that in Aus you finish at grade 12 and in New Zealand it finishes in grade 13. BTW Gilchrist do you live in sydney and if you do what school do you attend to?

Doing year 11 next year.Hoping to enroll in an off campus place at Flinders(Flinders St)-Classical Societies,haven't decided whether i want to do Philosophy.
So hoepfully that means no maths.I'm pretty woeful at the maths which we do now,which is a little bit harder than general year 11 maths .
I have got to balance work and School next year,wish me luck!

Same system here. In Grade 9, taking Eco, Chem, Accounts, TT and Physics. I would have been in grade 10, but for some reason I had to repeat KG2 after coming here from Hong Kong, something to do with different systems and age. That would have been odd though, a 13 year old 10th grader!

you start when you are 4 years old.. I am 13 so I am in Grade 8

Well it varies accross the country.

Reception
Year 1
Year 2
Year 3
Those are the normal first school years.

Year 4-7 are the middle school years in my area.

Year 8-11 is the high school era.

Then it's just 1st,2nd,3rd, eg year at College. Then same with University. Start reception at 4, College at 16 and Uni at 18/19.

Umm, I can't talk Chinese, and can only read Arabic and speak a bit.

Like I said, I was in KG2, so really didn't pick up too much Chinese :. People there also speak English more, and I was at an English school for those two years.
My dad can speak it, my mom a bit. Hope to learn a few words next time we head back

Write an essay about a story called 'Manhood'.

10:30 Interval
Have a snack (!).

Study the 'Treaty of Versailles'.

11:35 Religious Education
Study Islamic beliefs.

12:30 Lunch Interval
Eat Lunch.

13:10 Form
Registration and announcements.

13:35 Physical Education
Perform level three and four balances.

14:25 Information and Technology
Design a flyer for the Seedlings Project.

15:20 End.
Go home!

i'm in first year of colleage doing brickwork didn't like my school years teachers did f**k all to help me so i got poor grades

Cool time table Skate. Mine on a normal day is:

0745: Registration
0800-0840: Period 1)
0840-0920: Period 2)
0920-1000: Period 3)
1000-1040: Period 4)
1040-1110: BREAK! (Yes! ). Usually soccer with a plastic bottle...
1110-1150: Period 5)
1150-1230: Period 6)
1230-1310: Period 7)
1310-1350: Final Period
1350-1405: Form. Basically class announcements and goofing off time.
1405: Kids who go by bus leave.
1415: Kids leaving with parents leave.

Usually the periods are double periods, so 4-6 different periods per week. Sundays are the best.
