Welcome to a new, different type of story using the website: Howzthat!.

Egoer Island is an island in the Indian Ocean with 8 different villages spread around the large island.

Throughout this story, not only will you find out the results of the Egoer Island First Class and the Egoer Island One Day leagues - but you will also find out about the villages, people, squads, clubs and nature of Egoer Island.

The 8 villages are:

Indie - Capital village
Gerneviola
Telestra
Crode
Budokan

Timplo
Azkaban

Squads will be released soon...

Interesting to see that you are not using a mainstream game Rhys. Can't wait for the adventure to get underway. Should be an absolute ripper!

GERNEVIOLA CRUMBLE AT HANDS OF BUDOKAN
Today, Gerneviola travelled to the BCG, home of Budokan Cricket, to face a tough challenge against Budokan. Budokan batted first on a good cricket track and had an average innings. The top order did ok, all scoring around 20, the middle order, however, did better with scores all around 30. As we moved lower down the order, the scores grew until Gordon Strach played brilliantly for his 148. The tail then continued the good work with scores around 25.

So then came the reply from Gerneviola, the top order did very well with Johnathan Ralph scoring a great, exciting 52 - while the others scored around 30. The middle order agains strengthened the innings but it was not until the tail that the real fireworks begin! Firstly, Ronald Barker scored a scinilating 100 that left everybody startled - and if that wasn't enough, No.11 - Mickey Smith - scored an amazing 162 to give Gerneviola a large lead.

The second innings from Budokan was alot better than their first, with major contributions from Xiang Rushe (134), Mohammad Aziz (49), Willie Browne (51) and Thomas Bourbon (110). The big shock of this innings was that first innings century maker, Gordon Strach, was out for a first ball duck!
Budokan 2nd Innings: 439

The match was then there for the taking for Gerneviola who needed just 322 runs for a victory in the opening match of the season. However, the major batsmen did not perform and it was left up to Brian Potter (60) and Mickey Smith (52) to try and salvage something good from the match. In the end, Gerneviola lost by 109 runs - a massive defeat considering the massive lead that they once had!
