England in Australia

Excellent decision by Koertzen, when I saw the ball happen live I felt we'd got Ponting. This morning I would have been very happy with 3 down at lunch, so its a great morning for England. One more before lunch wouldn't do any harm though!

Almost LBW by Anderson good call by Rudi though. Aussies don't look settled at all Ponting still looks like hes just got out there but hes already 30+.

Second life given to Ponting missed runout this time.

Shakey 50 to Ponting but looks like he may make another one of those captain knocks that he usually does.

2 cracking 4s now maybe hes finally settled down.

Nearly got run out by a mile, so Ponting let of the hook twice but got his 50 with a pull for four then hit him again for 4 as i type!! Go ricky

Well Giles hasn't bowled yet but really good to see Anderson reversing it.
Has the groundsman changed the strip overnight?

Nah it was just some of the Aussie media and some fans whining about it being an absolute road but it actually is a decent track. It was just that Australia (especially Warne) bowled negatively and didn't bowl with any real purpose.

Agreed it was an excellent decision and once again the record I reckon so far in this match is 100% correct decisions. At first I was pretty convinced but after the replay it was going down leg.

Anderson does look much better now than in the first test. He is getting it to swing back into Ponting and on the odd occassion troubled him.

This is a 3rd day pitch so it's hard to compare it to when Aus bowled but we were never going to get the swing with Clark and McGrath being hit the deck bowlers.

But the pitch is pretty much like the 1st and 2nd day. The commentators themselves even said this is still a decent track. The weather has been quite cool throughout the whole match and not many cracks appear to be on the pitch. So I'd say it is still a good track to bat on but if the bowlers bowl well they will be rewarded.

The pitch looks like it has slowed down a bit but yea it's still good to bat on. What our fast medium bowlers lacked was a cutter which Hoggard has done well when he bowled.

Another captain's knock by Punter, great stuff looked much more settled in his second 50.
Hussey also starting to fire which isn't good signs for the English.
