England in Australia

Been some dodgy running calls between Ponting and Hussey. Second time that they could have been runout but oh well no harm done in that department.

Hoggard strikes again, what a day it has been for him. Here is Clarke's chance to show what hes got.

Ponting's got his average over 60 with that one. Clarke might play a very interesting innings here, he certainly looks confident.

That second call really could have gone second way. I am sure I saw the stumps disturbed but there was doubt so maybe the right call was made.

Now I am looking forward to the Aussie tail batting. Always a lot more interesting.

Clarke is going great at the moment.

Hussey out to Hoggard :( Didn't know what to do with that ball another ripper from Hoggard and Hussey missing his 100. Time to find that form Gilly.

The Hussmeister is OUT!!! Whoo!!! :)
Hoggy does it! Just before the end of the day's play too! Brilliant! Aussies 5 down, Adam Can't-Play-Anyone-Around-The-Wicket Gilchrist is in! C'mon!!

This is good cricket. After giving Harmy only one over, Freddie returns to bowl to Gilly. Brilliant :D

Gilly's looking good so far looks to be doing what Mark Taylor was saying in that he should play to mid off instead of mid on. Weird thing is why it took that long for someone to point that out to him cause I knew he had this weakness since 2003.

And that's stumps. Australia 312/5, trailing by 239 runs. 40 runs needed to avoid the follow on. Gilly and Clarke batting, 2 days to go. Could very easily end up a drwa here unless either team bowls fabulously. Here's hoping that team is England.

i think it will be a draw, but i will be optimistic and go for an england win, bowling the aussies out for 332, then them following on.

I'm going Aussies to bat out tomorrow be 200 runs ahead and bowl the English out on the last day, 2-0 Aus :) Or Declare at 450 bowl England out cheaply like India did to us a few years back and then chase down the runs.

england will be likely to collapse, when they have a team on the backfoot, they collapse and the other team fight their way back

Good day for Australia great stuff from Ponting but England are still on top here I think, we've almost got as many wickets in a day then Australia got in 2 which is promising. A couple of early wickets which is possible as Gilchrist has a bad record against England lately could mean England have a big lead possibly folllow on lead.

Brilliant from Ponting, 142 and he wanted more, lol. Got an average of over 60 now.

Due somewhat to a person who's meant to be in the side for bowling, batting and fielding dropping him on 36

Still, was a good knock and you can't take that away from him. A balanced day all in all I feel. The Aussies managed to bat within reach of the follow on target and Englands bowlers seemed to be hitting the right spots even if they weren't taking wickets.

I now feel an Aussie win is probably 10% likely, a England victory about 20% and a draw about 70%. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised though.
