England in Australia

I suppose it's worth noting that Pietersen is very good at making the most out of his fortune. Still, I think we'll be seeing the back of hom sooner rather than later.

It's Bell who i've been impressed with. As Atherton is saying, he looks solid in defence.

Correct you were :) McGrath gets his third, in the end the movement McGrath was able to get from those cracks proved his down fall. Probably thought that was going the other way.

Oh dear, KP out lbw trying to leave one that nipped back from McGrath. And Freddie plays and misses at his first ball. What has gone wrong so far? This pitch is perfectly fine to get some runs on, yes it is cutting up but thats no reason to be 78-4. McGrath looks ominous for England, the test for him will be whether he can keep it up throughout the series.

I hear Fletcher's been tactically placing more stray cricket balls around the place...

Say hello to the Ashes again Australia. :(

Now Jones, you better bloody repay my faith in you.

The worrying thing is though, if Giles scores a 'handy' 20+ today then he will almost certainly be picked again for Adelaide.

Well Jones has contributed 2 runs :D I guess thats enough to suggest he should be there for the next test match now ;)

The decisions he had made recently, he would probably mis-place them in the England dressing room and Freddie will trip over them.

And with Freddie out this seems curtains for England in this test, beautiful delievery by Lee, and as the sky commentators were saying earlier, Freddie is a slow starter.

I fear I may already know the answer to this but, what can Jones do?

We are so very very screwed.
Well nothing to worry about, we've got Jones and Giles still...

And the Hoggsta, the Harmsta and the Jimmysta! :)

Looked a bit no-ballish that Fred wicket. Still, it will probably prove to have no bearing on the game whatsoever.

I don't complain about umpires because I believe that luck generally evens out but I just want to record that KP's lbw was missing off and that Flintoff was out off a no-ball in case the Aussies start moaning later that England all the decision.
I find recording them as and when they happen saves argument later when trying to prove that decisions go both ways.

Amen to that.

I don't see where England are going to get any runs from here. Bell is too low on confidence against Australia to attack them, and Jones has only just come in.

Come on boys, take us to 200 at least. Show some pride.

Amen to that.

Flintoff one wasn't a no ball that was a replay of the 28.5th ball not the one that got Flintoff out.
