: Ravi Shastri is there on the pitch with the two captains for the toss and it will be an interesting one.

shastriiw7.png
: Thank You David ......The crowd is in action they are all waiting to get the first match on it way so are the two captains MS Dhoni and
Kevin Pietersen. Dhoni tosses the coin .....tails is the call from Pietersen and it comes down as heads.....India have won the toss. Well Dhoni congratulations on winning the toss whats your decision .

2ecmbtf.png
: We will bat first. The pitch is good for batting and outfield is good too so we will try to get quick runs on the board in the start and then after we get the momentum we will score more in the depth. Also while bowling in the next half the pitch will be on the slower side a bit so it will be difficult to score .

shastriiw7.png
: And what about your team?

2ecmbtf.png
: There are some changes Praveen Kumar is given a rest and we go with two spinners in form of Harbhajan and Chawla and Virat Kohli comes in for Suresh Raina.

shastriiw7.png
: And what score are you looking for?

2ecmbtf.png
: Well the pitch is good for batting but we will try to get over 280 probably 290-300 if we bat well.

shastriiw7.png
: Well good luck for the match Dhoni.

2ecmbtf.png
: Thank you .

shastriiw7.png
: Well Kevin lost the toss disappointed with that ?

ak8gt4.png
: No not at all this is a good track for cricket. It good for batting as well as for bowling. So we will try to restrict India somewhere around 240 and then we will have a chance to win this one.

shastriiw7.png
: What about your side ?

ak8gt4.png
: There are many changes from the side that lost to Stanford Superstars. Panesar comes in for Swann and Anderson comes in for Luke Wright who are not with us in this squad.

shastriiw7.png
: Well good luck for the match Kevin.

ak8gt4.png
: Thank You.

Indians off to a Steady Start

The crowd was roaring as Anderson began his run up to bowl the first ball and Sehwag was off the mark straight away with his typical flick of his pads towards fine leg for a single. Anderson was getting very little swing on the ball and the two batsman were having no difficulties what so ever to face Anderson. Tendulkar also got off the mark with a couple towards third man region. Anderson went for a run-a-ball in his first over. Stuart Broad who has been smashed for 6 sixes by Yuvraj Singh in the Twenty 20 World Cup when he last time played against India shared the new ball with Jimmy.

bowli1ng.jpg

Broad made the worst start to his first ever sub continental tour as Sachin just played a lofted shot over mid on which raced away all the way for the first boundary of the game. Broad came back brilliantly next ball getting the to swing away from the bat. But next ball saw some brilliant straight drive by the Little master and it was followed by a perfect text book straight drive by Sachin Tendulkar. Broad went for 12 runs in his first and Sachin Tendulkar had started off brilliantly. Anderson continued from the pavilion end and again was very economical. Anderson got some swing but his line and length was just out the offstump and made difficult for the batsman to drive him. While Sehwag was looking uncomfortable with his timing and was not getting to hit the ball in the middle of the bat. Anderson did some consolation to Broad's expensive over by giving just 4 runs of the third over. Broad again went for two boundaries in his second over. First by Virender Sehwag over the point region and it was good to see Sehwag timing that shot and the second came of Tendulkar's bat as he smashed Broad over covers taking a lot of room. Broad went for 9 runs in his second over and England were on the backfoot. Anderson on the other side bowled well and went for just 5 runs of the over including a pulls hot by the little master which beat the fine leg fielder for four. The runs weren't hard to come by for the Indians and Pietersen needed to think quickly and he did so. Broad who went for 21 in his 2 overs was given a breather and Steve Harmison was given the ball.

Harmison got more bounce of the pitch thanks to his height and also he was hitting deck very hard. Harmison bowled brilliantly in his first over and went for just 2 runs. Anderson continued in his 4th over and again was very impressive with his line and length. He was also supported by some movement in the air. While the Indian batsmen were happy taking the ones and twos and keeping the scoreboard ticking. Anderson conceded just 5 runs again of the over. Harmison who had just bowled a good first over by giving just 2 runs kept the scoring tight by bowling some real good deliveries which just missed the outside edge of Sehwag's bat. Steve went for just 4 singles of his second over and suddenly the run-rate was dropping slowly. Kevin Pietersen decided to make another bowling change by giving Anderson who had conceded 25 runs in his 4 overs a break and bringing one of the world most finest all-rounders Freddie Flintoff in to the attack.

bowling-3.jpg

Like Harmison, Flintoff made good use of his hieght to extract some more bounce from the wicket and also was supported by some swing. But with loads of experience in Tendulkar and Sehwag they both decided to just stay calm and go for the singles instead of taking any risk and going for the boundaries. Flintoff like Harmison went for four singles in his first over. Harmison was in his third over and bowled a particular line and asked the batsman to make some mistakes. But the Indians were happy playing him for ones on the off-side. Harmison went for 3 runs in his 3rd over and Indians were off to a steady start and looked heading towards a big score if they keep the wickets in hand.

S.Gavaskar: Indians are off to a steady and good start almost scoring run-a-ball. England need to get some quick wickets and most important wicket of Sachin Tendulkar if he gets his eye in then we know what he can do. Pietersen has to keep changing his bowlers quite often now.

Indians should continue on this start and create in excess of 300

Good presentation Shantanu.
Absouletly top class

That is called a fantastic update mate. Well at the match , India have started well and they will get atleast 280 which will be a winning total.

Nice start by the Indians. England in a bit of trouble here but the Indians need to keep a cool head and not lose wickets. Nice presentation kiu mate :)

Thats a really good start for India. If they keep this up, they will surely end up with 300-350. But now they need to keep cool and not lose wickets.

Sehwag needs to kick off soon with runs because slow innings from clearly indicates English bowlers are still dominating him inspite of this steady partnership! Hopefully, some attacking innings follows up now.

Keep up the fantastic works :hpraise Hope Sachin gets something big :D
