England In India - October 2011/12

Kudos to them. Dhoni have gone up alot. I mean alot in my estimations.

I'm a bit dissapointed he got called back really, that was the spark that the seris needed to make it funny for me to read.

Now fried chicken off everyone, India are not cheaters unlike some. Had it be any other team, they wouldn't have withdrawn it.
Yeah, after everything is done you come up and post this. Would have liked if you posted earlier.

@ Sai - Saw your post about getting on with it if it was Tendulkar in place of Bell. I bet my life on it, you wouldn't. You would go haywire, I'm sure.

Well said Gavaskar. Its India that needs to behave in sportsman spirit everytime. The video of Dravid getting to 100 was the best example

**** Dhoni. Strauss would have never done this. We can either play 2 win by the rules MCC themselves invented or "play this gentleman's games with sportsmanship" where we know we wouldn't have the favor returned.

Yea, same. All the argument about the DRS is a bit tame and has died down. This would have been so much fun.

And you are trying to be saint?:rolleyes Or just trying to earn some fake reputation in front of English Fans?

What and Indian fans would accept a decision like that in a civilised manner? They would be doing more than booing.

That is because the Indians thought the ball was in play and Bell wanted to go the pavilion without waiting.

None. I'm being honest. I'm sure us Indians would have taken this place by a storm if that was the case.

Would Dhoni have done it if England had a lead of around 300? That was clearly Bell's mistake. I am not going to go here praising Dhoni for his sportsman conduct. That was a big wicket that we needed.

I'm totally agreeing with u on this. Bell indeed started running the fourth run and at one point Morgan is gesturing a 'no run' to bell. So it's extreme stupidity from Bell's part and why are we called cheats when the mistake is from Bell's part. He can't just assume something is four until the umpire signaled it. That out must not had been reversed.

Look on the face of Bell and England players before tea was priceless :D

I think he's just pointing out the hypocrisy being shown here. It's all well and good for the Indian fans to be like 'No no it was legal! We wouldn't bitch if it happened to one of us!' when it hasn't happened to you. And going by the past behaviour/temperament of such fans, you just know they'd throw one hell of a tantrum if India were on the receiving end of such a decision.
