England In India - October 2011/12

Well done, Dhoni. Respect. :clap

That said, I find the Enlglish commentators a bit amusing. Funny how the same bunch of people question the spirit of cricket now, whilst they were completely fine when their team was involved in a similar act before.

Nice find Pranav. That was shocking. The bowler and batsman had a collisi. Yet they appealed for runout.

I've had a quick look at the laws, but I haven't seen anything about this - does anyone know what they say?
It's basically that the ball wasn't called dead as the umpire didn't signal a four or declare the end of the over when the bails were broken. So the ball was still in play and it is technically a run out.

Want to hear what Nasser says on this. During the tea break, he was supporting the third umpire's decision to call it out and he was criticising Bell. Right now, Atherton is also supporting Bell being given out.

Yes it was. An awful decision for which Collingwood apologised. What are you expecting English fans to say that there was nothing wrong with that incident?

Grow up.

Yeah, and I bought this up too. And in the words of Themer, 'there was a massive ████ storm' when we did it too.

@User2010: Dude, NO! I would have said Tendulkar was wrong. I might have initially bitched about all this happening to Tendulkar, but I am not that blind a fanatic to say that Tendulkar cant do a thing wrong.

And I'm dating the hottest woman in the world.

Another update, reportedly from Jonathan Aggers on TMS: Strauss and Flower went to the Indian dressing room at tea and asked Dhoni if he would withdraw the appeal. And Dhoni consented. The umpires did not have a part to play in it.

:thumbs

We can kiss the test goodbye now. We will face a 400+ target and there goes the game and the series. Being sportsmanlike does not mean you start with RAina after tea. We are just leaking runs like we have given up hope. Horrible captaincy by Dhoni and his gesture does not make any difference to that.

I don't think they realise that MSD withdrew the appeal, not that the decision was overturned by the umpires.

I don't care whether you date a woman or a man.:p

ffs, Gavasker wasn't pointing out the applause by supporters. He was pointing out how none of the English players congratulated or even clapped when Dravid reached his ton.

They are clearly waiting for the new ball now to see if something happens like what happened last night. If nothing happens, this time India are screwed. I said this last night about England possibly being screwed if they dont use the new ball and they did use it superbly.

He's already said what he had to say about it. He thinks it was ok and Bell was bein
