England In India - October 2011/12

Yeah we weren't but we were surely missing the openers and a best bowler in the team. .

It's certainly not ideal, I wish everyone were fully fit. But are 3 players worth 319 runs? Surely not. First Test wasn't really fair losing Zaheer like that, but you can bet if England had lost the 2nd Test they'd be trotting (:lol) out excuses about how Trott and Swann were injured mid game too. They managed to carry those 2 quite well in spite of that.

The other thing with Sehwag is that he's a match winner, not a match saver. His 3rd and 4th innings record is awful, so I'm not sure how he saves a losing side to be honest.

All that said, I'd love to see India pull a win back here just to stop the doom and gloom from the Indian media, and the gloating from the Englishmen who are already talking about how they compare with 2005 and how long they might be world #1 for. Pride cometh...

I actually agree, I just like reminding the Indian fans that the number 1 title is BS at best. I personally think SA is the best team

I believe England are the best team but not by alot at all.

I'd place England slightly above India simply because they can bat better in good fast bowling conditions. I put them both slightly behind SA though, especially if Tahir gets going.

correct, but it's for people who speak English, even those with a tenuous grasp on the language such as yourself

It was just a passage that I liked from the article Binnu have posted above. And even if I do that, what is your problem? Ignore it if you don't like it. I didn't tell you to comment on every single post of mine. And don;t tell me about following rules. I am following it better than yourself.

Let it go. Barmy's told you both to move on.

Shravi, you best not blow my cover of being an Israeli spy now, or I'll have to kill you

I would put that another way and say "England's current team is not as worse off playing in spin friendly conditions as India is playing in fast bowling friendly conditions".
