England In India - October 2011/12

The circle of life is on the wrong side for MSD now!!!! Earlier, whatever he did came off. Now it looks like the opposite.

How has the pitch been? Too easy for batting? Mukund has scored at a 70+ strike rate. Now that we have batted 90 overs, I would say bring back Mukund and let him bat longer. Maybe they can evaluate to see if he can give a fight to Raina for that middle order spot.

Rahul dravid in the One Day squad as well as T20 squad :lol:lol:lol

This is ████ management from the selectors. The downfall of Indian cricket is very near.

Squad: MS Dhoni (capt & wk), Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Parthiv Patel (wk), Amit Mishra, R Ashwin, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, Vinay Kumar

The reason given by board is shortage of players :lol Are you serious BCCI?

Dravid Makes A Surprise Comeback To ODI Side!

Dravid made a surprise comback to ODI side. What would you call it? His reward for good form in tests, last chance given to him to take retirement from ODIs respectfully or the lack of good bench strength?

For the reference, here's the link.

India Squad:MS Dhoni (capt & wk), Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Parthiv Patel (wk), Amit Mishra, R Ashwin, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, Vinay Kumar

The nature of subcontinent slectors and players will always remain same. If one player able to score in one format they think that he is the best player for all formats.
I hope Dravid will perform in ODIs too otherwise some wise selectors will also drop him form tests.

Well, alright. Nice to see Harbhajan being dropped, finally! Why is Yuvraj not there? Injury that big?

He has sustained fracture from that Tim Bresnan delivery :facepalm Harbhajan is not dropped, he is not fit too.

I would have loved to see Rahane or fit Pujara in the ODI squad in place for Dravid

----------

Or well, this could be Dravids farewell series, where one plays a last game or series and retires. :)

From ODI

----------

BTW, Amit Mishra continues his batting well and Sree departs after 65 runs partnership :p

----------

352 all out against a second side of county :facepalm.

Nothing going right for India and they should be cancelling all the stupid tours of West Indies and England at home. Should focus on Australian tour next. Should not play in CLT20 too

And @ Haarithan they will go that way. Bresnan has batted and bowled beautifully in last test and with Tremlett coming back it would be a nice 4 seam bowling attack

Dont jump the gun right away....as of now I feel its a pretty good team....but dont know how Dravid will accustom himself in the OD's at this stage of his career. When the series gets over, we will get to know whether the selectors goofed up but as of now their biggest comedy is saying 'shortage of players'.....even Zimbabwe selectors may not say that w.r.t their team....:rolleyes

Jayasuriya first, Dravid now. What's it about England that inspires such ODI recalls from wilderness?

Zak is being hammered for SIX and FOURS :p Hope he picks 10 wicket haul:lol

13 man squad for England. Doesn't really tell us much.
Probably depends on the pitch but for me a side with Tremlett is stronger than a side with Bopara.
