England In India - October 2011/12

the way the umpires have umpired in this series almost makes you think they want DRS. I thought they didn't like the idea.

England should probably rest their first XI for the next test. might make it a bit more competitive if they stick to using players from the U15 pool.

U15 football team that is.

From cornwall.

That are blind.

not when 3 them are growing out of their elbows.

I quite liked the comment on cricinfo that was along the lines of.

fancy dress day in Edgbaston today, they don't usually let XI of them on the field though.

(it wasn't exactly that, mine was a better phrasing, so I'm basically taking full credit and not giving it quotation marks)

Congratulations England team and my English fellows in here. You guys deserve it. :cheers

I have to bring this up - someone was so confident before this series (you know who you are)I can't remember who it was, but one of the Indian supporters was claiming before the series begins that 'England will see who is the No.1 Test side in the world'.

Yes. We certainly did - so did India. :lol :lol :lol

----------

Tendulkar - The biggest choker in Test history?

Don't be silly - he's an all time Great. :rolleyes

----------

It won't be wrong if I would say that Cook has Cooked Indian Team

Ha ha, love it!

Not to worry because india will get number 1 status back soon when they play back at home where England might drop as they will play away from home now and their performance will definately not be the same as now because away is much different than home.

ugh give the rankings a rest. "true number 1" is as bad a term as "world class"

OK, how about 'best Test team in the world'?

You seem to have forgotten the recent Ashes series victory - which was in Australia. I seem to have lost my atlas, but I am sure that's away from home. ;) :lol India have a long, long way to go to catch up with this England team, especially in the bowling department.

Absolutely not. England will still be relishing their chances given they have been more than good away from home against the likes of Australia and RSA. India just managed to sneak past NZL in a 3 test series at home.

If at all anyone stands a chance to pip England off the top spot, it is South Africa.

Last but not the least, you were next to marvelous as a joker throughout the series with some utterly ridiculous posts. Continue being so.

Maybe it was Sobi who was the overconfident one before the series started? ;) And yes, SA are definitely the biggest threat now - when do we play them next?

england the deserved number 1 side:D

south africa vs england will be an awesome series:)....i wish it was a 4 match series....if india vs england deserves a 4 test series and in future even 5 tests as per FTP then hell yeah south africa vs eng deserves it too...
