England In India - October 2011/12

you either nick it or you don't, there is no "a bit"

Then try to scroll down the last page up a bit. It didn't show anything on the snicko and either hot spot that suggest that Dravid was out but than again the Great Steve Davies can make anything happen.

Yes, Dravid may have been out. However, whether he was out or not is besides the point. IMO, it was incorrect use of the DRS. There was not enough conclusive evidence to overturn the decision. The third umpire's job in the DRS is to use conclusive and indisputable evidence to either overrule or uphold the on-field umpire's call. The third umpire today did not take this into consideration, and instead made a judgement call. His opinion is irrelevant. The only 'opinion' that matters is that of the technology used and in this case, it didn't have any discernable black and white 'opinion'. It was a harsh decision and one that shouldn't have been made imo. I am not saying this as a Dravid fan. I would feel the same way even if the batsman was English, even if I was happy he was dismissed.

As I posted above
He said this:"My gut feeling was that I THOUGHT I nicked it a bit.

I like the way you've added a line when you've quoted me. There was a deflection, if an umpire can't overrule on the basis he's seen the ball hitting the bat and moving I don't think he can overule anything.

FTFY.

Mishra going down after being hit on the pads. Pathetic.

Cook drops Sachin off of Swann. Could be very costly, hard chance but should have been taken. Come on Swanny.

Mishra is playing outta his skin. Kudos :clap

Not really. It him him high on the knee roll. There is not much protection there. It hurts there.

Did anyone else noticed the swarms of iphone-kids taking pics of players when they were walking off for lunch. Atleast 7 of them had same phone. :p

And there goes England's chances of a whitewash win! Finally, India albeit Sehwag started playing cricket. :thumbs

so should mishra be in the top 6 instead of raina?

Yep, looks like they've exactly switched their playing roles to perfection there. Raina's probably India's frontline spinner from now, while Mishra should be their new #6.

About the Dravid issue, am I only one who saw little white spot on the bat in Hotspot? Looked very thin edge to me.

Wow! Classy batting from Mishra. Didn't look like tailender with technique he has got.
