England In India - October 2011/12

And you s#, remember this?

http://www.planetcricket.org/forums/2156412-post290.html

Sreesanth's most recent over:

. . 4 4 4 5nb . :clap

Come back again! :rolleyes

lol, I do remember that. If you have bothered to read that post rather then just quoting it here u would get my point, I wrote one word there which Sreesanth does not like. "CONSISTENCY" Yes that is the word I wrote there, I said that IF Sreesanth gets more consistent with his performance, he will be surely better than that "CLOUDERSON"

@ Rahul: Prevail according to the google dictionary means "To overcome; to gain the victory or superiority; to gain the advantage; to have the upper hand, or the mastery; ..."

Did SL possess any of the above? :p Plus, I do get a bit overconfident at times, 1-0 to England sounds fair. :p

@ s# : That is one heck of a BIG 'IF' though. :p

Broad in, Bresnan in, Finn out. In my eyes this is a BIG mistake. I believe Finn is the best young fast bowler in the country, especially in the longer forms of the game (CC and Test cricket).
The England selectors obviously have more faith in Broad than they do Bresnan, so I think Bresnan should have made way for Finn.
:facepalm

----------

The Indian bowlers have not done well so far in the warm up game. Strauss and Raina once again showing their credentials and world beaters.

Anyone making too much of this has not seen India play abroad in the last 5 or 6 years. This is the way they begin. By the time the second test starts, they should be up and running. We fared horrifically against a Queensland second Xi before the 2003 Australia tour and we all know what happened since then. Durban 2010??

Im suprised how many are overreacting to this warm up game. Half the side is playing their first competitive fixture after a long time, its understandable. Whats actually positive here is that all of them bar Yuvraj got starts and batted for a reasonable amount of time. The bowlers would have got some overs under their belt and thats what matters in these games.

Spot on!

----------

I dont know why but I have a feeling that fletcher's reign as coach will be similar to greg chapples :noway

Oh come on dude! On what do you base that on?

----------

Raina, what a star. Turning into quite the player lately.

Can see glimpses of Ganguly in him (I mean limited test match talent, but overcomes that with loads of positive attitude and determination)

Mishra has been ████ so far

Cometh the hour, cometh the skipper - Andrew Strauss! Colin's (barmyarmy) prediction during the third test against SL strikes my mind - "whetting his appetite for the Indian bowlers". Awesome! :D

They should declare the innings now. Strauss has reached his 100 435 runs to win.

more of this in the 1st Test please

Cometh the hour, cometh the skipper - Andrew Strauss! Colin's (barmyarmy) prediction during the third test against SL strikes my mind - "whetting his appetite for the Indian bowlers". Awesome! :D

lol this dude is way too excited. Note that Zaheer did not bowl in second innings because he does not want Strauss to know too much about his bowling. He will meet him directly at Lord's now.

Note: If India had scored 400 runs in the 1st innings then they would have scored 400 runs

Mishra 13.0 0 112 2 8.61 (8nb, 0w)

I haven't seen to much of Mishra but when I have I don't remember him having a no ball problem. Note he's also going at 8.61 an over.

Note that Zaheer has only bowled 6 overs to Strauss in which Strauss scored 20 runs + 1 really close LBW shout. Mishra is bowling 1st time in England? Let him get suited with conditions first and if I am not wrong, there s not much spin on the track as it looks like a complete road to me.
