England In India - October 2011/12

Interesting point bought up by sky though, maybe he thought he was given out LBW and knew he couldn't review it. However, all maybe's and it doesn't matter cos it's not like he can come back now.

He would have very well asked for clarification from umpire as to whether it was lbw or catch.

If India bowl England out for 330 or under, I dare say India would feel fairly comfortable.

That's the same thing Harsha Bhogle said right after he saw that sniko thing or whatever it's called

IMO, Morgan looked back straight away. That's usually a sign that a batsman feels they've nicked it.

He obviously thought he was given out LBW, as he didn't hit it. However, as pointed out, if he hangs around and tries to ask the Umpire after he's been given out, he'd probably get a reprimand for not walking at the decision. So not a lot he can do really. It probably didn't even cross his mind that he was given out caught. He just felt it on the pad, saw the finger and knew he wasn't allowed to review.

Ishant is mostly bowling short. Gavskar is screaming on STAR CRICKET at him that why can't he bowl full length and rightly so because whenevr he pitched up, either pietersan got an edge or went down to third man

Harsha Bhogle is so irritating nowadays. Coming back to Cricket, Ishant Sharma needs to get it up there! Sunil Gavaskar is absolutely right when he shows his frustration.

Interesting dismissal of Morgan there. I actually think he nicked it. No way a batsman would walk co casually if he hadn't nicked it. But, doubt there. Technology says something else though.

Oh man, look at that! Praveen is bowling beautifully!

I don't think that's the case. I mean, it wouldn't be at the top of his mind 'I can't review LBWs'

The more natural thing for him to have done was look up, see the finger, be shocked, ask KP if that looked out, or go for the review to be told he can't and then realising he can't review LBWs.

Let's see what Morgan says on this. But you can review LBW's can't you, regarding if you were hit in line/if the ball pitched in line?

PK in the middle of a glorious spell.

Over rate! How many matches will MSD miss if he fails to keep with the over rate?

just quietly, england are going to rip india a new one here. england are famously useless starters in series...they have already done enough here to say they will not lose a test here. KP back in touch - look out. england have a habit of making tough wickets look relatively easy, without taking any damage. india hasn't got the fire power in their bowling.

how fat is khan? wow i made that observation long before the pom commentary team wrote him off. their second best bowler is a medium pacer who is in the conditions of his life and still isnt penetrating.

so much respect for england after they smashed us in australia. anderson...well i thought he was wicked in england and thought he was a one trick pony. but that guy has come a long way. sure he is a skinny metrosexual twat who tires his best to look tough....but he's the most damaging bowler in the world in home conditions. he proved us all wrong in aus - he's brillliant in all conditions - if only he lost the boy band look before he tried to act tough - he would gain the other players respect.

the only weak link england have is broad...and hes always been the weak link. if they could only over look him, there would be england in first...and the second would be a long way back. hes not a batsman...unless he faces the cheating pakis. flynn, while wayward in the ashes - has 300% more talent than broad and shouldve been give more time. with the south african 3/4 who are as tough as nails....and bell finally realising his potential - there's no need to have a half bowler/ half batsman / mostly cr*p player like broad.

india were only ever going to be at the top for a series or two. they spend too much time on flat wickets making records and making rules to suit themselves. they are old and finished...dravid/laxman/sachin - legendary players, but there's nothing that's come in behind them to make their success last. their bowling attack is old, fat and also at the end of their time.

first time i'll ever go for england - but they have been on the cusp for 6 years. its only taken a south african in charge to stop them from being sucked into their ridiculous sporting culture of mediocre (read soccer team) and they do deserve it. they will smash india. and i dare say....even the weakest australian team in 25 years will smash this mob when they come down under later this year.
