Broad's literally been denied a wicket on six occasions in this test match - thrice by his fielders and thrice by Billy. Now, all I can wish Broad is a good luck in getting away with a reprimand, which I highly doubt he will.

Harbhajan's batting temperament in a high pressure Test predicament was tested there. I am uncertain as to why he played that shot though.

Thats the final nail in the coffin. Seriously England outplayed India. Although we played with injuries we cannot reason that. Our batsman did not play as they are expected to. Hope to see India hitting back hard as they have done from 2nd test in each and every tour

typical start to a tour, With so many injuries and Zaheer not fit. I would've have backed that lineup to draw a test anyday but fail, they were pathetic. All I can hope is India winning the 2nd one at Trent Bridge with their full strength squad with Viru and Zak in. Now I will study a bit. This historic 2000th test won't go down well with me.

Well played England !! Great Cricket from them and they surely deserved to win this. Indian performance was bad as expected but something that made their performance bad was the injuries to their players but what affected 90% of their performence was England's superb bowling. They did good with the bat as well but they killed the Indian batting with their bowling. I am sure we will come back hard in the 2nd Test. Can't wait for it to start soooooooon.

Excellent all-round team effort and I'm delighted with that performance, few niggles here and there, but that's a strong performance. Great match to watch as well.

As Sky have commented on, there's 4 players who could be MOTM. Pietersen, Prior, Broad or Anderson for his 2nd innings performance.

Few dropped catches, but take in to account that double hundred, Prior's presence in both innings, Broad's superb comeback under massive pressure.

To force a result on that wicket and to bowl that line up out for under 300 on both occasions is a remarkable effort.
