England In India - October 2011/12

While I can fully understand our team's anguish, they should not even consider talking to the umpires about the decision because that's just not right.

Fans can question a decision (within considerable reason) but not players.

They were having a friendly bit of banter.

Maybe. But I'm just not comfortable with people questioning decisions in cricket. I am a qualified Level 7 FA football referee and every decision gets questioned and I don't want cricket to be anything like that.

Nothing wrong with them saying "Why wasn't that out?" it's the norm. I didn't see anything beyond acceptable there after that LBW.

That drop just about sums up England's day...
Edit: Bye bye Sachin! Billy finally raises his fingers up. :rolleyes

That's a shocking drop, 2 in the match from Strauss, that's not good.

GONE!!!1111!!!

Sachin is LBW. Plumb and Jimmy is on fire today.

58 overs, 5 wickets needed. Just one wicket away from exposing India's tail. So this really should be England's game from now unless these two play out for more than 30 overs.

And just as I type that, I realise I paused it and am 2 minutes behind :p

England have looked brilliant today - when the going got tough, the tough got going :)

Just the one doubt, does the maximum 7:00 pm rule come into play today to debar England from bowling their entire quota of 98 overs, or is it just bad light that can prevent that from happening?

Raina looking much more positive and Dhoni is getting there too. This game will be draw.

3 overs until the new ball comes in and I like this tactic from Strauss. He has sent Trott and Pietersen on to bowl until the start of the 81st over and has released some of the pressure on Dhoni and Raina who will look to play shots and free their arms after 40 minutes of poking and prodding. As soon as the new ball comes and Anderson and Tremlett are back on, they'll find it harder to rein themselves in.

Got to say Swann has been the least threatening bowler to the Indian batters, despite the fact he's bowled well. Unlucky.
