England In India - October 2011/12

India haven't gone out to win the game today, they've clearly gone out for the draw as the run rate of just over 2.5 testifies.

No wonder. Gambhir's struggling and Tendulkar also has a cloud over him. I think its the only thing they can do really.

yeah, that's hardly news there.

sometimes teams are too negative but to ask india to chase over 450 in 4 sessions with 3 injured players is a bit much.

wasted review. not sure why they checked that one.

Because he edge it, as proved by snicko? Slightest noise as well.

Hardly a terrible decision though, and as we aren't willing to accommodate Snicko in to the DRS, we'll have to stick with it. Broad looking good today, we've bowled quite well in general, just a typical Lord's wicket. Dull.

It wasn't a massive noise, but you could just about hear it. Still, Laxman has gone now, so not that big.

Another wicket before lunch would be awesome!

I'm not convinced by that snicko to be perfectly honest. There was alot of noise around the time it passed the bat, the line was as stark as they are normally and I still think there was daylight in between bat and ball.

Smaller edge = smaller sound. They won't all be the same. Though as said, it doesn't matter now and I don't mind that it wasn't given out.

I called it, just pad first, great decision from Rauf. Swanny deserves that, been good all morning.

Four down now, still plenty of time and the new ball is there is needed to buy a wicket or two. Even if we only get one wicket this afternoon there's still a chance, of course Swann could try and buy a wicket.

Any negativity the TMS team and in particular a number of ex-England captains had over possibly losing should be put back in the box, it would take something extreme to win from here, 300+ with six wickets left of whom Khan, Kumar and Sharma are pretty much non-combatants.

How come Tendulkar is batting already? I understood he had to wait until something like 2pm or five down.

Just as an interesting aside, do you think the Indians may come to regret no referrals for LBWs? (not necessarily this match, but series overall) And it doesn't have to be duff decisions, just decisions they might have referred had the option been there - both batting and bowling. That said there have only been six LBWs so far

Resisting the urge to have DRS rage here..

The Indian batsmen have lobbied to not have DRS and their agenda has clearly worked..

Just, is a fairly big word in that context.

Clearly out, Sachin survives, but for how long? He's not looking that settled.
