England tour of New Zealand 2019

Not sure why Buttler is given the gloves again? Where is Foakes?
Maybe it is his form in county which is keeping him out. This squad looks promising but very less experienced. Would have been better if Northeast was included.

Strange to see no one discussing about the series, especially after how England lost today's match which they should have won. Nobody is interested I guess :p

Twat o'clock AM games though isn't it. I've watched some highlights of last night, the most England of England batting performances

I have no idea about the series. Literally.

Bilateral T20Is without full strength XIs playing are quite boring to be fair. From what I’ve observed...

  • One of Munro/Guptill has to be dropped. I’m leaning towards Munro for now even if he has three T20I centuries as he seems to struggle versus genuine quality bowling and Guptill’s a much better fielder too. Seifert has to be the other opener, his natural talent is evident for all to see even if he has thrown his wicket away. Might just be the inexperience and nature of T20s as Seifert plays a much more patient game in first-class cricket.
  • CdG at four looks like it is working. Roscoe and Neesham to follow is a really strong middle order.
  • While he hasn’t received the stratospheric levels of hype that Archer did, Mahmood has been talked up pretty highly for his quick pace touching 90 mph. Based on that account, he has been very disappointing as he has barely touched that mark.
  • Root will probably not be part of England’s strongest T20I lineup. Will be interesting to see if England dare to drop their most skilled batsman for the sake of team balance. On the other hand, he might just serve the role of a stabiliser who gets pushed down the order otherwise if things go to plan like his brother Billy in the past for the Outlaws.
  • The sooner Parkinson establishes himself as the first choice spinner for England across all formats the better. This bloke is going to be a future superstar.

Malan oh Malan! Who knew that picking the most inform English batsmen in domestic T20s over the last few years would have been so effective?

Another freaking tie in a England-New Zealand Final super over to follow to decide the T20 series.

Deja vu. :p

Amazing that even after suffering the consequences of having selected a poor bowler in the Super Over few months ago, they chose to go with Southee out of all the bowlers. :lol

Pretty incredible that they also refused to send in Munro, the one player who they most missed during the previous Super Over.
