Well it is still possible for England to get a decent score if they do well in the last 5 overs. But the story is in the hands of the next member who decides to take over.

England resumed their inning on 108/7 in 15 overs. The poor running between wickets continued for England and this time Jones became victim of it. He made 8 runs and England is 110/8.

That bring Hermison to crease and he with Hoggard started to smash Zimbabwe bowlers all sides of wicket. Hoggard hit Marillier for three boundaries in an over and Hermison soon folllwed him by smashing two boundaries of Vermuelen next over and England finished their inning for 153/8 in 20 overs. Hermison made 15 and Hoggard made 30 not out.

Great end by our Tailenders, that'll be too much for Zimbabwe.
yeah they batted really well. Next person please take control.

Hopefully we can get a good start with bowling so that we have a firm grip on the match.Any member can take the story forward from here.Cheers.

Good to see that your idea has kicked off sid! I hope more authors will take interest and continue this. Come on people, this is a real good idea

1. you need not whittle away hours playing a match. only minutes playing a part. so no killing of time and you would never get bored of the game

2. The game is a challenge. Not every situation will be rosy. there will be a great chance of being realistic as you will necessarily not win as the game is played in different tempos depending on the previous authors. great example being amitbansal saving England from a prcarious position with Harmison and Hoggard. That is fun.

Good luck to this thread and I certainly will take part once I get my copy of the C2005.

Thanks, but the thread is yet to really get going in full flow.

I personally think that its a good concept as it has several advantages, including independent on the story maker i.e it doesnt depend on a single story maker to continue the story, normally stories can stop if people lose interest in it or dont have the time for it,but in stories like these it can always continue as long as people take part in it.Also it doesnt require much of an effort as people have to just play the stories for short yet crucial spells,so the game is always going one way or the other,it also kicks out any chance of the story maker being biased. Thus I beleive this concept has a future, hopefully with time more people will take notice of it.Cheers.
