Pakistan edge towards victory in the opening test.
The vital wicket of Tendulkar soon fell after he reached is hundred and Ganguly, who could have been out about 4 times prior to his dissmissal, edged behind leaving Pakistan needing just 4 wickets for victory and India 141 runs.
Pathan has just joined Dhoni at the crease.

Tendulkar named man of the match
Tendulkar gained man of the match due to his hundred in the 2nd innings. It was not the only the runs but the attacking approach which completely changed the game and gave India the belief.
Inzamam was devastated after the loss, his side looked to have won the game until some great batting from Dhoni at the end.
"I cant fault my team for the effort they put in in this match, the pitch was pretty flat and maybe i shouldnt have declared when I did but with a bit of luck we would have won this match.
The team must take heart from the way we played in this match and pick ourselves up and come back fighting in the 2nd test"

2nd Test Pakistan v India
Both sides have named unchanged teams from the 1st test, which India somehow managed to win after Pakistan had looked liked storming to victory.
Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bowl first. This seems a strange decision has the pitch looks flat and will take spin later on in the game.

India 335ao
Pakistan have bowled India out on the 2nd morning for 335. India will be fairly pleased as were in a bit of trouble early on as both Laxmen and Tendulkar fell for 0.
Ganguly made a run a ball 97 before being dismissed by Shoaib Akhtar caught behind.
Kumble was the last man out being caught behing off the impressive Kaneria

Pakistan all out for 242 giving India a handy lead of 93. Pathan, Agahkar & Kumble all bowled well and didnt allow the Pakistan batsmen to make any big partnerships.
If Pakistan have hopes of winning this series they must take early wickets and bowl India out for no more than 250.

India set Pakistan 396 to win thanks to Rahul Dravid, who scored 140 not out. He was ably supported by Pathan (77) & Singh (42).
Surely India have done enough to go 2 up and thereby win the series, or is it Pakistans turn to chase down a big total as India did in the first test.

India have completed a series victory over Pakistan with still 1 test to play. India have always been ahead this test and fully deserved the victory.
Man of the match award went to rahul Dravid who setup victory with a hundred in India's 2nd Innings.

India have been celebrating a series victory in Pakistan, it was a great performance but Pakistan will be feeling a little dissapointed as they could quite easily be 2-0 up.
Inzaman ul-Haq
"India played well this test and deserved their victory, I feel the players may have still been in shock after losing the first test which we should have won. When we had India 6 down for not many in the 2nd innings that was the moment he should have seized the game and gone on to win, but again we let India back into the match. We now have to pick ourselves up for the last match and look to finish the series on a high point.

"My hundred in the 2nd innings rates as one of my best innings, I got away with a couple of edges falling safe early on but after that I felt in great nick. It was a magnificent team display and im so happy to have gone to Pakistan and won the series against a very good side.
I want the side to remain focused on the final test and win the series 3-0 and then we can start looking forward towards the series against England"
