English Domestic Cricket 2007

6 points clear, one game to go! A very tricky game at that though. Sussex are hot favourites to win their game (bar any weather problems), meaning we'd have to go to The Oval and probably win. Do us a favour Worcestershire!

Both CC games on Sky this season have involved Lancs then, hopefully it'll be better weather than against Yorkshire.

It was a fantastic performance against Warwickshire thats put us back in the hunt, with a slight bit of help from Durham:p. I seem to remember we got Surrey's batting guns out cheaply in May, to do that again would be fantastic.

Surrey look a different team to the start of the season, I wouldn't underestimate them this time around.

Sometimes I wonder how much Surrey earn from this Sky TV deal, they are on every week!

Can they get rid of Murtaza Hussain and just give Salisbury a game for a change...please.:crying

Well it was good to see Worcs win the Pro40 after a pretty disastrous season.
Steven Davies showed real promise last night opening the batting with his 84.
Surely he's in the reckoning behind Matt Prior.

Oh believe me, I'm not. Any batting line up with Ramprakash and Butcher in looks strong to me. They are without Schofield and Harbhajan who they have had recently, so that is a plus. My biggest fear is that it will be a belting Oval pitch, and 500 plays 500.

I went to Lancs vs Hampshire yesterday. Cracking innings from Chilly! We looked in a bit of trouble but he and Croft put on an unbeaten hundred for the 5th wicket. Also, got to see Shaun Udal's last bowling spell and batting innings in professional cricket.

They got off to a flyer, Saj and Newby leaking runs, and they got to 86-0 after 11, but we pegged them back massively to 122-7, with Saj taking a 3-fer and Keeds taking a couple, before the rain came. It was a good last home performance of the season, a pity Warne wasn't playing and we rested a few players.

Just a special word for a run out by Michael Carberry. He had Simon Marshall run out with a direct hit from the boundary, with only one stump to aim for. Quite brilliant run out.

So who is in the best position after Day 1? Durham? I can't see Lancs doing too well on this pitch, with a defecit of 400+.

Hmmm, I think that's us out of it then. Bloody Sky. We never do well when we are on the telly!!

You're perpetual losers, Lancashire always bottle it then blame the weather.

No there blaming it on the toss Chilton has only won something like four all season.I watched a bit earlier and this Lancs fan emailed in to say they should change the rules and the away captain should decide what they do rather than have a toss, nonsense IMO!.
