Who is your county team?

Somerset have signed Saj Mahmood for the rest of the season on Loan, which I'm happy with. We've been stuck with limited options all year, so having another experienced player so we can rest our injuries is no bad thing.

Interesting to see Durham have let Ian Blackwell go to Warwickshire on loan too. Say what you like about his fielding and fitness, but he would walk into any team at County Level, judged on bowling or batting ability. Quality player.

Tips for the T20 finals day on Saturday? I'm going for a Somerset victory. Think this year might finally be the year they end their runners-up trail.

Should be a good finals day, simply because the teams all seem to be quite evenly matched. There's no real week team for me. Just hope the rain stays away to give us a full day to watch.

Feel sorry for Nash. He's played well, but nobody has hung around with him. He's also showing what a good player will do to a guy who tries to bowl Yorker after Yorker.

Good stuff from Kieswetter. Pitch has got something in it, so we've got a chance, even if Hampshire are massive favourites from here.

Had no luck whatsoever today, but not been good enough. Thomas has been shockingly poor.

Hopefully we rethink our Overseas players for next season. I'm shocked we've left Rehmann at home when we had only one playing, even if he hasn't played in it before this season, at least he'd fill that void left by Dockrell.

Notts going shopping again I see. I can see quite a few players moving around Clubs after this summer, what with Surrey looking to recruit at any cost too.

why is everyone getting upset over the mankad in the surrey v somerset game?

he warned the batsman and the batsman was still coming miles out of his crease, to be frank I see coming too far out as against the spirit of the game as well, both players are supposed to run 22 yards to score a run. one of them is not supposed to take a 5 yard head start.

Check this out: Two minutes in

He's hardly miles out in the first place. I agree there is perhaps a lot of fuss over something which is essentially legal, but I think it's just an unwritten rule in most cricket, especially at County Level. I think you also have to understand that Kartik was worked up at that point as well, which didn't help the situation. I just think really, that it doesn't happen and there wasn't much to gain by doing it (i.e. match situation). As you can see from the clip, he's barely out and only then because he expects him to bowl the ball, i.e. he's not watching Kartik.

Mainly laziness on the part of Barrow there, just wandering out then made no attempt to get back into his crease, perhaps he was thinking there was no way he'd be given out. It is within the rules though so who cares, he's out.

I also don't see how making county cricket a bit more competitive is bad for the game. I am with Kartik on this, his response via twitter was "get a life."

I can't see Surrey buying too many more players. They must be paying Vikram a fair whack to go there and I doubt Davies and co. are on small wages so their wage bill must be getting fairly large.

No, they will. Adams came out midway through the season and said that they'd be looking to add players, hence them signing up Solanki. Let's face facts here, they're not going to get anywhere with the top 3 they have at the moment. That's why they'll look to add more players, to cover for losing Ramprakash and Maynard especially.

Rory Hamilton-Brown confirmed to be leaving Surrey after this season. Understandable really. Somerset have been linked and I think we'd be the perfect setup for him to be in really, I just don't see where he fits into the team, barring first choice backup really.
