Never thought I'd say it, but the Return of Keaton might be just what England needs. The fact there's a Div 1 opener who's a week removed from a triple-hundred ought to make a difference too

Kent v Lancashire next week. That was close. His average is now 30.01
Honestly I couldn't agree more. From Div 2, I hope that Ali Orr is being seriously consideredPutting aside the memes but it is bonkers that a guy - who average less than 27 in 25 tests. Averages 27 in county cricket this season and only just averages 30 in his career - is gonna get picked ahead of all the other openers who have multiple centuries and buckets of runs this season.
Bell-Drummond (who is batting 3, but I believe has opened) has 4 at 53.85
Compton has 4 at 69.81
Jennings has 3 (including a 318) at 88.66
Burns has 3 at 45.69
Dent has 2 at 54.7
Sibbo has 2 at 38.78
Jennings and Bell-Drummond are both doing it at a higher strike rate than Crawley has scored at this season.
That's just DIV 1.
Div 2 has also featured the following bowlers: Matt Potts, Michael Neser, Shaheen Afridi, Dane Paterson, Stuart Broad, James Pattinson, Ollie Robinson (when he hasn't been at death's door). And there's probably another half-dozen openers doing better than Crawley there too.
But I guess none of them have pretty cover drives.
