Eoin, Virat or Umar?

Umar is really talented fella. The way he played in NZ was fantastic for a youngster. When playing the likes of Shane Bond & Dan Vettori, you need to be at the top of your game. Having said that, he still has some distance to cover if he wants to cement his spot, a bit like Virat has.

Virat didn't show that much talent as we may expect from him.He hasn't cemented his position but if he play good consistently will cement it.Virat also is far behind in covering the distance, about which you are talking about.Virat didn't play against SA,NZ(with Bonds in),Aus,Pak(just one match I think so). When he will face these high quality bowling lineups then it will be a real test for him.As far for now he played well against Bangla and Srilankans but could play even more better.Umar on the other hand has almost pass his test though bit childish sometime but great future ahead.

Wait that makes no sense. How isn't Umar under pressure he is 19 and he could be out of the side any minute, everyone knows the geniousness of the Pakistan Selectors. You never know what could happen. Plus, his brother jus got kicked out of the test team so he should be feeling a little bit of pressure don't you think.

I said he is under pressure.

Morgan plays some quality shots - I love watching him play :D I can see him really developing his ODI carrer. I'm not convinced he will make it as a test player, but with the form KP is in, he would be a great KP backup so to speak :D

Bit early to completely write off Morgan as a Test player as he could potentially do what a Threscothick and take to the international game despite not the best of FC records.

For me though for the person to go furthest its between Akmal and Virat. And I can't really seperate them to be honest.

Virat has an extremely good First Class record and ODI record to boot averaging 55 and 50. Whilst Akmal averages 55 in test matches (only playing 5), an ODI average of 44 and a first class average of 50. So I'm going to go for a draw for the time being until Virat gets a run in the Indian Test team.

Yes but you also said that Virat is in way MORE pressure. I am just saying that the pressure between Umar and Virat is the same so its all on their skills now.

Uhh, dude, are you blind? I said they are both under pressure but in different ways.

Umar really hasn't got much competition. Virat has plenty. Both are under pressure, but in different ways. Umar is under pressure as the third best batsman in the side while Virat has to prove he is better than Raina and the other fringe players and that he has more to offer than Ravindra Jadeja.

Okay I agree you said that they both are under pressure but dude you said UMAR HASNT GOT MUCH COMPETITION. VIRAT HAS PLENTLY. That is what I call implying that Virat has more pressure.

Okay, I'll make it crystal clear.

Pressure as the third best batsman in the line up at such a young age (Umar Akmal) = Pressure from fringe players + having to prove he has more to offer than Ravindra Jadeja (Virat Kohli).

:)

Lol at seeing how many Indian supporters have just answered 'Virat Kholi' and Pakistan supporters 'Umar Akmal'.

Bhaijaan, we said the same thing, but in different ways.

Umar really hasn't got much competition. Virat has plenty. Both are under pressure, but in different ways. Umar is under pressure as the third best batsman in the side while Virat has to prove he is better than Raina and the other fringe players and that he has more to offer than Ravindra Jadeja.

The competition is really heating up in the Indian team. When Paaji returns to ODIs, we are really going to have a problem of plenty. We can't drop an in-form Virat, neither can we wield the axe on Suresh and Yuvi. Ravi is in top-form with the ball and often makes up for a poor game with his bat. And Rohit's fav KKD is also in the reckoning if Dhoni's fitness problems continue, coupled with Manish Pandey & Robin Uthappa's run-in-form.

Seldom have things been this exciting for Indian cricket.

Yes. Its a bit too much to expect from young 20-somethings if you believe they can walk into every match and score a 50 or 100 and win the match for the team. One bad game, and everyone write's them off. I hope and hope that Virat, Manish, Suresh, Dinesh & Ravi don't crumble under pressure and just hang in there.

Ditto with Umar & Eoin, who have a lot of competition as well.

Kohli is very talented player.....continuing Indian batsmen grace....but
UMAR AKMAL is something exceptional....if he can mature in coming months he is the man for next ICC Emerging Player Award....players are judged by longer tests e.g a TEST MATCH....

He has 1 Century and 4 Half century's in 6 TESTS he has played....+ he can do great in other formats as well as he is agressive....:happy
