Arbeloa, Sergio and Juanito are no where near Spain standards and I still cant see why Aragones picked them. No rhythm whatsoever in the play today and even the quality lads like Fabregas, Guiza, Iniesta, de la Red and Alonso have looked poor. Sergio has done nothing except winning a freekick.

He is a Spanish player. No one pronounces Henry the English way. Why because he played for Arsenal??

Different side after the break, and played like a team really. Even Sergio had a few shots on goal although all were crap. Arbeloa was poor and invisible once again. De la Red's goal was brilliant, and expect more of that for Madrid next season. Guiza wasnt at his best today but he is class and for that he deserved to score the winner.

Kudos to Aragones for sticking with the same team for the second half (with the exception of Iniesta who is anyways a first team player) and getting the job done with them. Fabregas dint do much, but again he is class.

I?d be so much satisfied if Spain can kick those bloody Italians out of the competition as soon as possible, and Dutch can trashcan Russians.

Well I was watching bits of the other game as well and must admit that the Russians absolutely outplayed the Swedes, who dint play all that bad tbh.

Russia v Holland could be cracker considering both teams are really fast on the counter although the Dutch have way too much class.

Looks like it will be Italy on penaltys then against Spain.

Think Spain or Portugal will win it if they can win these games, although Holland should win it.

One reason why I wouldnt rule out the Russians is because of the same reason I was so nervous when Spain started off the Euro campaign against them. And that reason is Guus Hiddink, who, imo is the best manager in the world today in the International arena.

Ofcourse the return of Mr.Arshavin has also made the Russians are far far better side.

I'm not going to predict the Spain game because it has been a bad omen in previous occasions, so here are the rest of them:

Portugal 1-1 Germany - Germany to win on penalties
Croatia 2-0 Turkey
Holland 2-1 Russia

Portugal causing Germany loads of problems so far, they might be behind but I still think they'll win this unless the Germans score again.
