Has any of you been out on either 49 or 99. I know the experience. I hit 49 and then got a crap ball, thought i could hit it a mile and got a bottom edge and got bowled:crying. Also that was the first game of the season.

Anyone else felt the pain?

I felt that "pain" when I was on 49.
Around a year back.
I was playing for my class and I was the captain,

There is nothing of that sort.
I have changed my School this year.
We play only 4 overs per side match.
So we hardly score 40+.
The other school was nice.
But now I have stopped batting and I bowl nicely.
But the problem is I am fat.
My teacher said to me that if I reduce my weight,I can get a place in the State team for sure.
This is true.
Working hard towards that.
I lost 7 Kgs in a 2 Weeks :D

4 overs per side? That is in now way a match. You may as well not even bother!

We get only 40 minutes of play per week.

Rest we play ourselves.

Not as good as it is in UK and other places.

We have to STUDY the whole F****** day.

This thread reminds me of college :). I didn't get out on 49 but I was batting with No.11 and the guy got out. He still remembers what I told him that day. :laugh

Playing in club and playing with school are two different things. Once you play in Club, you will know the exact way to play cricket. Playing with state level bowlers really feels great. I am sure you will loss lot of weight when you will wake up 6'o clock and doing training for 6 or more hours. I myself have lost lot of weight but my skin colour was also changed from white to black due to practicing in sun :p

i was playing a cup match for my school once, rule was you had to retire on 30, got to 29, went to hit it miles, missed it completely and had to walk off embarrased.
