F12010: Hedger?s F1 Journey in 2010 and Beyond

Um, like I said. I've tried to resize it but it stays the same.

Percentage laps is 40%, I think. I only just got back and can't remember to be certain.

And tyres seem to last less when racing shorter distances but the soft and hard tyres together adds up to about lasting 3 or so laps over the race distance so you have a slight variation where you want to make your stops and you can decide to start on the hards and change to softs or start on softs and change to hards.

Melbourne GP - Practice & Qualifying

I was in Melbourne, my home GP waiting to drive. I set out on a pair of the hard compound tyres. For some research and development purposes, I was set a target time of 1:40.254. It was too easy to beat, my first lap although making 2 small mistakes saw me record a lap of 1:35.109. I came into the garage after that. I went out for another run a few minutes later, my first lap very good around 1:33.500. I ran another lap although I went off at one of the turns and the time was over 1:36.000. I spun out on my next lap, catching some gravel and going nose first into the wall and I had to come in to the garage. I didn?t manage to improve my time on the prime tyres, going 21st fastest in Practice. In qualifying, I knew I had to do well, expected to qualify 20th. My first lap on the option tyres was 1:32.255. My next lap was 1:31.943 and I sat in 21st place, behind Trulli. I went out for one final lap late in the session to beat him. My final lap was a fair bit better, a time of 1:31.665. It put me now ahead of Trulli in 20th place, my goal for qualifying and I was happy. There was 2 minutes left in the session to hope Trulli did not beat my time. He didn?t and I qualified 20th. Barrichello was the only man not from the 3 new teams to go out in the first session, in 19th place while Chandhok out qualified Barrichello in 18th with a time of 1:31.094. Sebastian Vettel went fastest in Q1.

Webber took pole though, Vettel qualifying in third. Button was the man to split the Red Bull?s in 2nd while Massa, Hamilton and Alonso qualified in 4th, 5th and 6th respectively, with the 2 Mercedes drivers following. The full grid was:

1. Mark Webber
2. Jenson Button
3. Sebastian Vettel
4. Felipe Massa
5. Lewis Hamilton
6. Fernando Alonso
7. Nico Rosberg
8. Michael Schumacher
9. Robert Kubica
10. Vitaly Petrov
11. Nico Hulkenberg
12. Vitantonio Liuzzi
13. Kamui Kobayashi
14. Pedro de La Rosa
15. Sebastien Buemi
16. Jaime Alguersuari
17. Adrian Sutil
18. Karun Chandhok
19. Rubens Barrichello
20. Brendon Hedger
21. Jarno Trulli
22. Bruno Senna
23. Timo Glock
24. Lucas Di Grassi

Bad Crash in Practice

You spun on the straight track? Still didn't come out of party mood, eh? :p Now this is tempting me to buy this game :p Only reason for which I am not buying this game is, lack of time & patience.

I think I'm going to pull the race distance back to 30% for the time being. I hope that doesn't mind anyone.

To be fair, it looks like he might have run wide coming out of the corner at the top of the screen, and the back of the car would have spun as he tried to accelerate on the grass/kerbs.

Mate, didn't realize you were doing a story on this. I've been playing it over the past week and it is brilliant. I definitely be following this closely. Great stuff.

I still can't play this game properly. Always tend to spin out when some one overtakes me. Probably a PS version will be better for me.

Maybe ! Not too sure of it myself. Also, have used the PC platform after a long time.

I finally got some time to do it but when I came in to pit on the 9th lap, my pit crew did nothing so I got stuck and had to quit it and now have to do the race again. I'm very pissed off at the game.
