This is an idea which Brad tried to start a while back but due to computer problems it stopped. Using Cricket 2007, you sign-up and draft a team from anybody in the game (we will be using the latest roster).
You get to name your side as you want and choose a ground to play at. Your ground limits the weather and pitch type you can use, so it will effect your drafts. The draft happens one pick at a time, so you have to be committed to keep it going, until every team has a full squad of 20.
There is then a trade period where you can make any trades as long as you end with a squad of 20. You will be allowed to do any trades you like as long as it is agreed. If you end the trade period with less than 20 players then you will be able to pick-up a free agent to complete your squad.
There will be a number of competitions. A First-Class league, a 50-over league and probably a Twenty20 tournament as well. If I feel like it I might throw in a knockout OD tournament as well.
Matches are simulated using the autoplay feature and the scorecards are posted here. You will need to post a team to play every week.
The main thing about this tournament is being active, especially during the draft. So if you want to join, fill out the following short form to get us going. I have no limit on teams, it is how much interest there is. So join in!
