Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

It could be linked to a Scrotometer too!! Player comfort level ala Tony Greig's weather wall.

...and real time scrotometer readings when you play online against opponents. I'd really love to know the temperature of Matts junk when I roll him for 10 in a supertest. Would really help with my immersion...

Steam chat is there for a reason. Taking all those measurements hoping you would ask isn't easy.

Big Ant... will you make this for me please??

Practice mode only:

I have been spending a lot of time using the practice for batting and being able to change bowler/batsman- type/skills as well as the visual indicators for timing and footwork, although good fun, needs expanding.

-Scorecard or runs/balls indicator

-shot selection indicator.

-Shot direction indicator. (Pitch map)

-Add to career mode.

-Batting, bowling and fielding drills. (Hitting sixes, shot placement, defensive work- hitting one stump, pitching on a spot and turning it through poles- slip catching, ground fielding. (This all gets more difficult as you progress)

- Achievements/XP for completing skill training goals, scoring runs in practice games, so that in career a good performance against squad members in the middle and successful training could get you in the 1st XI quicker as practice matches in career would be amongst your squad. (1sts v 2nds or mixed squads)

- Banter/laughter etc, and if possible, changeable as to if your teams doing well or not.

- an option to skip/choose to practice, similar to nets, where you're not penalised for not doing it, but can earn skills points if you do.

Just a few ideas for now.

Very very true. My big concern for the next iteration however is that if there's no way to transfer from the DBC14 academy the new game's team selection may be somewhat limited - I don't see myself ploughing all that time into team/player creation again

It's certainly a big technical issue on our side, I have committed to the existing players being utilised by the sequel, they may not be able to be edited.[DOUBLEPOST=1445487486][/DOUBLEPOST]

This is great news. I can appreciate the trouble it must have been technically, and it's great you've made it work.

Re editing, visuals I think wouldn't be an issue whatsoever but would we be able to edit skills? Since I'm presuming the skills will be different in the next version

I think it would make sense for skills to be edited, since I imagine they'll have a totally different system for those second time around... But cool to hear we should be able to import from the Academy. Good stuff, hopefully that'll go alongside a rethink/deletion of the "Get Best" function?

We'll allow everything except an "old" visual to be edited.

...I'll forever be haunted by the visage of midget green-haired @MattW

You should do some "testing" right now... It's not like the boss is around...

Another addition I would like is detailed practice match:

-Ability to assign a spot for the bowler to continuously bowl to get better at that shot.
-A mini game like a ring displayed in that particular shot zone and get points depending on the spot we are able to place them in the ring.
-Assigning fielder in that particular shot area instead of all the fielders.
-For bowling option of selecting the amount of fielders to field and position selection as well.

Even including a 5-10 balls practice [bowling and batting] before the start of the match in the ground we are about to play. Something that Fifa does practice mode entered and we can then enter the match whenever we feel ready...Instead of going to nets mode with ball machine..Practice with bowlers bowling would be better..
