And with the info on an SDK I think the devs know just how important it is to a cricket based games fan base to be able to edit things like names and stats. This seems to be a nice indication to a group of devs who listen to their target auidence.

Na, i reckon it'll be earlier than that. Early 08 i expect, maybe event this year sometime. The site looks very ncie now and it looks like a very promising game. Getting Mike Hussey on board will really help the game sell. Cant wait.

I contacted them regarding this and they were fairly helpful, though make what you will of their reasoning for the delay:

There were couple of factors behind rescheduling of the release date. One
of the major factor was the availability of endorsers such as Australia's
Mike Hussey and others. As Australia had just then won the world cup, he
was not available for photo-shoot until late June, and hence the delay.

Right now, I wouldn't be allowed to speculate on a release date. This will
be probably officially announced very close to the release date, perhaps
2-3 weeks earlier.
